Seems like you can pour some serious hours into that game =P

Goodie.
Oh indeed you can. I myself have logged over 150 hours into it and still ahven't completed everything. The story mode alone will waste 20 or so hours of your life. The amount of unlockable content puts some console games to shame with hundreds of weapons, armor, and other gear. And then there is leveling up and mastering abilities which take tons of time but still tons of fun. It's one of the funnest fighting games I've every played and one the best time sinks ever.

Go away, trolling is not looked upon highly here. You don't like FF? then don't respond to FF topics to avoid pointless conflict.

I did a review on this game over at the site I work on - http://www.wdfnews.com/article1t12429_Modern-Gaming--Dissidia-Final-Fantasy.aspx - just if anyone wants to read. I had fun with it, it actually made me want to play with a PSP (which is not popular with me to be honest, I can't really get with the controls that well) and while rageworthy in some parts, was really fun as a fan to play.

now I want to brag a little since I only know one other person IRL with dissidia and he doesnt care how far I got but bragging is rude but I will say I one uped your story beat I mastered (100 percent) every story but I have my chars all lvl 100 (yes I know in hindsight I am bragging =( sorry) but damn over 200 hours of gameplay I need to give this game a rest (if I combined my NTSC version playtime with my japanese versions it would be somehwere in the thousands...)

yes don't stick with one character have some variety (though you will sureley have a best like mine is onion knight and my friends is cecil) break your opponent before hp attacking or you will be at serious risk of being broken yourself and be sure to learn guarding and dodging (you will see how important is is in the final battle) also dont ex burst a borken opponent or it will be miniscule in damage wait for them to recover from break and then kill them =D its also good to go into EX mode while in the middle of an opponents combo (it will stop it) or when you have a sure hp attack landed (it will ensure you not wating it and getting an EX burst) other than that wall of text most of it you will learn whilst playing there some helpful tips the game gives you... OH SHIZZLE summons for those some may seem useless (alexander freezes your brave from going up or down but its usefull if you have high brave you can chain hp attacks) so yeah think out a good strategy, good luck.

I'm on break from class so I'll keep it sort of short.

Well here is a tier list detailing characters that I found a while back. i don't exactly agree with some of it (emperor at the bottom!? bullshit), but at least it gives a general idea of character standing. http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessage.php?board=939394&topic=48396308

But in any case...Cloud is the easiest of all the characters to use. He's comfortable and a good gateway character which should ease you into more advanced characters. A lot of the villains actually are tougher to use compared to heroes. Just whatever you do, be patient when using some like Ex-Death, because they are hard to use.

As for leveling, well there are many ways to power level. In under an hour you can easily get a character to level 50 if you work the system right with certain items and such. Quickest and most common way to power level though is to simply fight opponents stronger than you. It is entirely possible for a level 1 character to beat a level 100 if you lay smart. Just goes to show you how well balanced the game is.

oh if your continuing with mognet, one of the moogles will give you something very awesome if you answer em all correctly....

for example fully leveled characters
I did the FFXII question, but there was a FFXI question, and well....i've never played FFXI so i had to guess, I'll get the yes or no tomorrow though.

Also, Chaos level 110...The...Biggest...Bastard...Ever, took me 9 trys to kill him all three times, but since i've done it, my friend card with Sephiroth is SSS rank, Tactician skill.

Whats your friend card?

Right, do you mean No-one liked Seymour? Because if thats the case, i freakin' loved Seymour, he was always on the edge, and soon you knew he would go evil, which he did, but just to become Sin (Tidus, no i didn't like him so much, but he is better in DISSIDIA).

Auron and Jecht never had a rivalry though and so the designers decided to pick the person who wanted to fight Jecht most, ergo Tidus (Also he was the main protagonist in FFX).

Also, your train of logic is quite skew, Golbez wasn't the final boss at the end of FFIV, it was Zeromus, but Golbez is in there, (Same with Kuja in FFIX) so they didn't go for the final boss of every game, but the main antagonist.

(Also, try to make your comments more legible please.)

Apologies. I do have a habit of not checking before I post.

Maybe just me with Seymour then. I do agree that the Tidus/Jecht rivalry works well. Im just disappointed I cant play as Auron as he was made of awesome. (unless he is an unlockable character. Dont know if they have that stuff).

I know you cant get all the characters in there for the game but I remember discussions on dream battles of FF characters with friends

Bridgitte vs. Auron (Undefeated vs. Undead)
Vincent Vs. Squall (battle of the manic depressives)
Zidane Vs Balthier (more for the incessant one line burns than any fighting)

Ah, thats fine.

Seymour was someone who you could hate, but also understand why you hate him, thats why i liked him. Auron was a secondary role, but important to the story, but most of the story revolved around Tidus, and yeah he is cool, like really cool, but i aceept that i can't play as him, though i want to.

Though i have hopes they will release DLC for DISSIDIA, like...in about 2-3 hours when the PS Store updates. Though its doubtful, it would be good.

Balthier is great, in my mind he dominated FFXII rather then Vaan who was just a pussyfied Tidus (And that is saying something).

If they add anyone, i want Seymour, Nanaki (Red XIII) would be interesting, Eden, Freya and Balthier.

Yeah Balthier, in my mind was pretty much one of the few reasons to bother with ff12.
He's got a smart mouth, he's elegant- -he's like seymour, just cool. :)
