I would really appreciate them putting their money to better use, for example, getting some fresh blood in to contribute to MW3. I mean, the campaign was very short and needed a bit more oomf! I know it had loads of holy shit moments but the people dying all the time is bit stale and the end was pretty much identical to MW1. Hope that's not spoilery

But it's going to be less games, better games. That's our strategy.
...

When did that happen? I thought that was EA's/John Riccitiello's "bankrupt" strategy.

I guess I'm in the minority on here that bought and loved the 1st game then. The initial price nearly put me off but it was soon on sale for £60 if you looked hard enough and at that point it was nothing short of a bargain.

It's great for when friends are round - everyone pushing to have a go and it's more addictive than gh/rb in it's score attack system. (Though maybe that's becuase I'm better at DJ Hero).

I was a little worried they weren't going to make a sequel so this is great news....

Although I can't believe I've put myself on the same side as Ol' Bobby there. =/
Don't feel bad. I bought the game as a birthday present to myself last year. I love almost everything about it, then again I'm more inclined to mash-ups and rap music myself. So you can rest assured there's another person you can feel alienated with. :)

I'm also in the minority that owns and loves the first game. Maybe I don't watch enough TV or read enough magazines, but I don't recall seeing ANY ads for DJ Hero, versus the tsunami of L4D2 marketing leading up to its release. At one point I counted SIX zombie-hand billboards on my commute to work, which is only around 10 miles. If Activision advertises DJ Hero 2 in ways/places aimed at the target audience (hiphop magazines, club events, etc.), it might not do too badly.
