Huh, I never get shit about cooking where I live. Most people don't really make too much of a big deal about it though. But I think it's a good skill to have because while a girl could be taken to Wendy's for a Baconator and fries by another guy, guys who can cook like us can make a special meal wayy better. ;D
Is it better for you to tell your woman friends to get in the kitchen and make sammiches or to make food for yourself?

Knowing how to cook is important. The girls Ive known love it when they know that you can take care of yourself. Of course I eat with a pocket knife and cook canned food in the can but that's just part of the allure.

I don't think I have ever met anyone who considers being able to cook a bad thing. Most girls like a guy that cooks them the occasional meal.

I hope so because I've been working at a restaurant for three years and learning to cook is the only positive outcome (except the money obviously)
I can cook. Nothing special, but I make a pretty nice stir fry, pasta sauce, and I grill pretty well. Also, get a slow cooker. The things you can make in there.
Cooking isn't really hard with the internet. Pick a recipe and follow it and things will come out tasting good if nothing else. As a matter of fact, I have a recipe that actually looks like vomit but tastes awesome. It's mashed potatoes, corn, ground beef, and cheddar cheese. All cooked separately then mixed together, serve with beef gravy. You could probably add carrots if you want.

I cannot bring myself to cook myself Steak, I can cook it, but I can only afford to buy Steak on special occasions, so when I have it I like it to be cooked for me, just so I can pretend I'm some rich guy for the time it takes to eat it
They must be little girls because I love it when a guy can cook. My wonderful fiancé made me breakfast in bed before and it was fantastic! Once you get older you'll see what a great thing it is. Don't pay any attention to your friends or those girls, it's a good thing.
My girlfriend loves it when I make dinner, but in general I'd imagine they like it as much as we like women who can cook. When you're hungry what's better than awesome food that you didn't have to make?
Pretty much this. I only cook a little bit. I know how to perk up instant ramen with some spices and some actual vegetables and chicken, I know how to pan-fry burgers and steak (only choice I got, otherwise I'd grill), and I can make my own pizza. That ain't a whole shitload of cooking ability, but you'd better bet my friends are always pleased to visit.Darkside360 said:
