Do good female gamers actually exsist?

My girlfriend is a good gamer, to the point where most people don't like going against her on BFBC2 or Modnation Racers.
hell my daughter is a good gamer, she's completed more games than most guy gamers I know.
I think it's a natural stereotype that needs to be overcome, there's no reason why girls can't be good at games.

Uh yeah good girl gamers exist! I'm the best in the world at monster hunter unite! But really it's 2010 and everyone plays games now, even my girly girl sister in law plays left 4 dead and Gears with my brother. Sounds like some jerks have been giving you a hard time so ignore them that's part of online competition.
If im playing a Game and you beat me or if you are better than me, i Acknowledge that.
Gender doesn't matter to me.
Sadly to many people it does but, i think were getting better at just accepting that someone better than you beat you without dragging gender into it.
Or at least i hope we are....
And like Souplex Said, Games are currently viewed as a Gauge of Masculinity by some.
So it hurts some Guys pride to be beaten by a Girl.
Especially competitive people.

Um... yes. I've never met any in real life, but once I got destroyed on Left 4 Dead 2 by a team of all girls.
But you know, I think the statistics for the genders of gamers are... well, just not true. I play online a lot and most everyone I have seen online are guys. The only exception is LittleBigPlanet where it's pretty much equal.

I have played L4D and that chick pisses me off....she's about the most worthless thing ever...she'd be more useful if i could use her to beat things with
It isn't that girls suck at video games, it's just that the average guy gamer is so socially inept they regurgitate cliches

I'm a girl who is also a fairly decent gamer. I'm not really connected to the FPS scene anymore but I've been gaming since I can remember and I was pretty good at Halo 2 when it was around. I got roped into a game of Soul Calibur IV at a friend's house and managed to kick his ass despite never having played it before, but in all fairness I just threw him out of the ring every single time.
One time my team beat another team in Warcraft 3 and after the match I said I was a girl and they said I was lying. Then after like 10 minutes they switched to calling me a lesbian instead. Yeah, I've met a couple who have destroyed me in Halo 3 in various amusing ways. For example, getting two sticky grenades to the head and blowing up a Warthog so it spiralled into my face.
Also, on this site, I've played [user]Demented Teddy[/user] in a few games on Bioshock 2 and, trust me on this, she will destroy you and [user]RBMidknight[/user] is around rank 700,000 in MW2, without glitches.
So yeah, they are a few good female gamers out there.
