Take those out of that list now.
I love every game that comes my way? Good to know, that'll make it ever so much easier to write reviews in future.SimuLord said:As a general rule I read reviews when I'm on the fence about a game; if the game mechanics are horribly broken or if the game's buggier than a cheap motel I want to know about that before I buy.
Beyond that I place absolutely no faith in scores because scores exist only to satisfy the corporate payola machine. I'm more interested in the substance of the writing (one reason I like the reviews on the Escapist, even if it seems like certain members of the staff love every game that comes their way---q.v. Susan Arendt's reviews of Fable 2, Animal Crossing City Folk, and Mirror's Edge.)
If I really want to know what a game's flaws are in no uncertain terms, that's what Yahtzee is for, but I don't base my buying decisions on his reviews or I'd never buy anything.
Can I refer you to an earlier post where I stated you could go to hell, but as you were kind enough to reply I will make sure they have a special corner reserved for you.Untamed Waters said:If F2 wasn't full of fail, then maybe.bad rider said:Fable 2, Mirrors edge
Take those out of that list now.seriously though, I didn't like F2.
I fall in the same category, except I just can't be asked to read, let me say that again, read, reviews. Generally they aren't entertaining, or they are pupose built to insult a small defect in the game to join in with the cool crowd and be "funny", as we saw with psychonaughts review telling people a game is great is like saying, did you want to see my latest etchings of a penny farthing?fish food carl said:I found this excruciatingly funny. Is your neighbour perhaps a monkey of some sort? And, yes, you are the only person. In a long stretch of idiocy and feudalism, all of which reads reviews, you are alone. I hope you're proud of yourself.Richard Groovy Pants said:They're bad games? Who said that?
Also, why do you care of what other people say about the games you like?
If you're having fun then it shouldn't matter now should it?
Personally I wouldn't entitle any of those as the 'best games I've played' but that's just me. You might have different tastes.
One question to yall folks back at home though--
am I the only person left on the Internet that doesn't read any reviews at all?
I have a retarded neighbour that if he happens to read a bad review about a game which he already bought and loved, he actually starts to hate it. I shit you not ladies and gentlemen.
Also a familiar feeling for shmup fans. 2d fighter fans too, I think. Bottom line, if you enjoy it, be happy about that fact, no matter what other people say or think.samsprinkle said:Don't worry I'm a Dynasty/Samurai/Orichi Warriors fan. I get this feeling EVERY time a new one comes out...
