Uh... Does the game "Corruption of Champion" count as a game I tend to play very MANLY like... even though I always choose to play the female champion?

God of War, on the other hand, makes me feel not-so-MANLY because I could never do the things that Kratos can do... and that makes my MANLY muscles jelly to the core...

The only game that's neutral on the MANLY scale, for me... is Rayman Origins... But, damn can I DANCE in that game!! That's shit's my jam, son!!!

Dark Souls....

It kicks your ass so hard, so when you finally beat that boss you feel like an all powerful god.... until you get to the next boss. But then you get to have that feeling again.

I wonder if everyone was just going to let this softball fly?

Because honestly, when I think manly, I think Corruption of Champions.

Sheesh...

*laughing a bit too much* I don't know what's more funny... The fact that I took my entire reply seriously... (in a MANLY way, I guess... and not just the part you quoted...) or the fact that you're the one who's quoting me on this particular part of the reply...

I guess you can say my definition of MANLY has been... corrupted...

HA! What is this, a Calvin Klein ad? Why are all of you posting images of such pale, scrawny, knobby kneed watch models? Is YOUR idea of MANLY the kind of effeminate indie band bass player that can barely lift your chai mocha latte order over the counter at Starbucks?! FEH, I say! FEH! If that's the case, you might want to cover your eyes lest the proceeding images MAKES YOUR HEAD SPIN!

Still don't think that's MANLY? You know what, you're right. I apologize.

Major Armstrong, please forgive me...

After all, [small](unconfirmed)[/small] studies show that's a game's MANLINESS is directly proportionate to a game's FABULOUSNESS! And none be more FABULOUS than JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE!

The Last of Us was insanely manly. You play an emotionally stunted man with a severe, debilitating inability to express any emotions but anger and hatred and who's main form of conflict resolution is killing.

Seriously, Joel is among the best deconstructions of masculinity I've seen in any work of media. The game oscillates between making you feel Joel is completely badass and making you feel sorry for his inability to express his emotions and concerns and makes you see that both are essentially two sides of the same character trait, his masculinity. It makes Joel a very consistent and realistic character and arguably makes the game that much better.

Bayonetta. What's manlier than a sexy goth witch chick licking lollipops and kicking ass all day? A game for men by men if i ever saw one. Bayonetta is fucking hot.
I second this shit, this shit right here.

Bayonetta is so fucking manly, it caused a singularity in the Manvent horizon, coming out as a woman on the other side.

Bayonetta is so fucking manly, you'll wish you were a woman to get a taste of what it's like to be Bayonetta.

Bayonetta!

So by manly you mean super aggressive with over the top violence? Has God Hand been mentioned yet?

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger

I have played that game far longer than it was supposed to last. When it comes to making you feel like a badass, you can't go wrong with a bounty hunter.

Nope, if given the choice I'd much rather play as a female. Which isn't that often...
There are expectations though, I love some aurza's wraith.

Exciting games get me pumped, so in the case of say Gears of War I am far more likely to fall asleep or Asura's Wrath just makes me want to pull my hair out with the non-existent game part.

A good game of Bejeweled has those lame asses beat any day of the week.

How the f is devil may cry not mentioned 40 times yet? It is the single most gar game ever made! In devil may cry 3 dante gets a rocket fired at him and his reaction is to ride it!

It's like courage wolf and extreme sports had a love child!

It's so much distilled manlyness on a disc, there was no room left for logic or physics!

It's... It's... *mouthfoam*

Oh what's this? What dare you mean with this assertion? You're retorts are all too telling Mr. FPLOON, I'll be keeping an eye on you..

That aside, I suppose if I had to choose a "manly" character. By far, without a doubt it would be Lu Bu.

He always boasted a most fearsome reputation within the three kingdoms, and a notorious lust for battle. Oft would he engage entire armies on his own and defeat the mightiest officers. So great was his power that he was regarded as an uncontrollable force of nature, which caused the three kingdoms to rally against him to subdue him once and for all (within the context of the game).

Well, to sate the "obvious", I find it very coincidental that the person who quoted me on a different topic not that long ago (in fact), is quoting me on this topic... and not because you quoted me on the particular game Coincidences like that I just find funny to me... and the added notion of that particular game getting recognized through said coincidence just makes things more funny to me... Also, this isn't Twitter, so how would you keep an eye on me, per se? *trying very hard not to make an obvious Soul Eater reference*

Anyway, most of the games that are considered MANLY by most are those I usually don't play... If I do end up playing them, I'm usually pumped by just wanting to kill everything on sight... From God of War to Dynasty Warriors, one by one my enemies will fall by my sling of combos... That's get me more pumped than just playing a MANLY game...
