Do you always respect other people's opinion? (be it about games, movies and music)

Are you someone who gets angry if someone thinks your (thanks Skarin) opinion is wrong (be it about a videogame, movie or music).

For example:

You love "VIDEOGAME, MOVIE, MUSIC A", but your (once again, thank you) friend thinks that "VIDEOGAME, MOVIE, MUSIC A" sucks and thinks that your (see, I am getting good at this) opinion is wrong. Are you going so far that you never want to have contact with your (voila) friend again?

Very good young padawan, keep it up and you'll soon be a grammar knight of the english order.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but when you get people saying they thought Transformers 2 was the best movie of 2009...well...there has to be exceptions.

No seriously, if someone stops being friends with someone because they have different feelings about games or movies, that someone is mental. That's really silly.

Even though I might not agree with your opinion, you're always entitled to it, even if I think you're wrong. I strongly support my opinions and believe they are right, and people often interpret this for disrespect of their opinions. But that's not the case.

I respect peoples opinions most of the time, but I'm sure we can all agree there is a line. There are some people who's opinions are so LEGENDARILY retarded I can't help but think less of them when I hear it.

Especially the opinions some have which involve discriminating groups of people. Sorry but I will not respect someone who's racist/sexist/homophobic, they just don't deserve any respect not only because of their ignorance, but because of the hatred they so happily channel.

Skarin your avatar is mesmerizing yet extremely creepy. o_o

Oh dear god do I get pissed if people like certain things, or dislike certain things I like, but most of the time I don't really particulary care, because I know deep down that i'm right and everyone else is wrong. :p

I respect peoples opinions about a game if they have played it, incidently most of the time don't. Well most of the time in my friends case, one example is when he said he didn't like the WoW community when he has never played it.

Some opinions are just plain stupid.

For example; That we are all going to die just because a certain calendar doesn't go on for infinity.

I politely disrespect people's opinions when they're stupid...
That's when both the people and the opinion is stupid.

Opinions are essentially subjective - there's no "right" or "wrong" opinion, just views that you may or may not agree with.

It all depends on the movie. Mostly I feel as if it is just someones opinion, but sometimes films are just so good that I just can't be around someone who hates them. Here are a few examples:

Anything by Quentin Tarantino
Blues Brothers
Shaun of the Dead
Wizard of Oz

There are, of course, more, but I figured I would just list a few. You don't have to love them, but if you clearly hate them or think they are stupid, I just can't take any of your opinions seriously. It also goes the other way. There are movies that if people love, I just don't have time for their opinions. A few examples:

Godfather
Scarface
Shawshank Redemption

Once again these are movies that you love and can't believe that anyone would dislike them. It is not just a casual enjoyment. If so, I question your entire opinion of everything in this world.

I'd like to say yeah, but sadly, no I don't.

It really depends, on how elitist they are considering their own opinions or if they're willing to accept my opinion without comprimising their own. Kinda depends how much I disagree or care about the person or the person's opinion too.

I might get mildly annoyed, but I know my opinion only matters as far as I can reach. People who get preachy and pushy on their opinions however are liable to get a can of whoop-ass shredded on them.

yes. that.

It fits nicely with my theory that most people are terribly shortsighted and have awful taste. There are a few people who's opinion i do value, and if they say that, for example, a movie is good i'll generally trust that it is, in fact, good.
