Do you always respect other people's opinion? (be it about games, movies and music)

Haha no not at all. Opinions are a way of finding out who you're compatible with so I have no problem with admitting that if I don't like a lot of opinions, I probably won't like them

And of course I'll argue with them, arguing is fun and perfectly healthy! Which is why the strict mods on this site annoy me sometimes

respect other peoples opinions, then when it comes down to making a choice, pick which one seems best and go with it....
WTF am i saying, i respect peoples decisions, but if i need to make a choice, or if they say something about a game/movie/music i listen but never actually remember, this is probably because most of my mates get scared by the worst and most predictable things ie: Paranormal activity ;when i can do (and have done to great effect) the "ghostly effects" using fishing line, some powder and my ability to be very silent when i move around.
And my other mates think bigger corporation and flashy labels = awesome
I always go with my gut, and it hasn't disappointed me yet!

I respect that they have an opinion.

I don't have to respect the opinion.

In my eyes, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
If it doesn't match mine, then they're wrong, but they are entitled to it.

They have the opportunity to explain why, which I may see the aspects of why the believe that, however not agree, or I may think "Ummm, excuse me? Could you explain that logic?"
This happens mostly with religious people though not meaning any offense.

You know some people are just... wrong. People will often say they like or don't like something for no reason at all or just to be different. I like talking to people about their opinions and comparing them to mine, but I don't go out to change their opinions because you just can't.

Well, everyone's entitled to their opinions, however illogical or ill-informed they may be.

I respect the person, even if I don't respect their views.

Depends on how they present their opinion. If they say that their opinion is matter of fact and than any and all other possible opinions are false then I do not respect their opinion. Especially when they don't back up their opinion, as if everything they say is final and evidence is for the weak or something.

People aren't like this in person I've noticed. Strange.

I don't always respect someone's opinion, but if I've asked someone for it, I will listen and accept it.

Yes, I do respect other people opinions and all I ask in return is that mine are respected as well. I may not always agree another persons opinion but I still will respect it.

The thing that irks me the most though is when people present their opinions as facts. I mean that is great if it is their opinion but I don't want to try and be forced to accept it. I will respect it but I won't accept it.

I respect it if people try something I like and then tell me they don't. That's fine. However, what really makes me rage is when people try to tell me my stuff is crap without even knowing it.

Generally I listen to people's arguments (unless they are obviously flawed or I know them to be incorrect). If the argument is "x is better than y" then I usually check out x to see what the deal is. THEN I can fairly tell the person my Y is better and to shut up since I have tried other options.

I respect peoples opinions most of the time, but I'm sure we can all agree there is a line. There are some people who's opinions are so LEGENDARILY retarded I can't help but think less of them when I hear it.

Especially the opinions some have which involve discriminating groups of people. Sorry but I will not respect someone who's racist/sexist/homophobic, they just don't deserve any respect not only because of their ignorance, but because of the hatred they so happily channel.
Couldn't have said it better myself.

Some opinions I just can't abide though, such as "Too Human is the best game ever!" or "Michael Bay is a great director!", even though I know they are just opinions. That's a failing of my own though.

It is only annoying when someone tries to force their opinion and view down one's throat.
I won't respect it then, but if they just state their opinion without being an ass about it, I can respect it.
