Do you care what someone else plays their game on?

I really don't care. Every device has its pros and cons and is suitable for another audience. I like the devices I play on and I can understand why others like theirs.

I do care at times. I care about the fact that some people I know will buy Battlefield 3 on Xbox instead of PC, because that means I can't play with them.

As for "hating on" people for buying something on a system I don't own? No, I don't. I flame my friends for it in a joking manner, as do they, but no. In all seriousness, buy whatever you want.

It doesnt matter to me what people game on it matters to me that people often misrepresent their gaming platforms and what you can do with them; for example a gaming PC does not cost $2000+ but may require a bit of work and knowledge (or googling) to get each and every game working.

I have to admit, thats starting to piss me off aswell.

I was a console user at the age of 5 when I got an Atari 2600 in 1985. Then I moved to PC's a few years later with a Spectrum. Then Atari ST, Mega Drive, Playstation, PS2, Xbox360, PC in roughly that order (not sure if the ST came before or after the Mega Drive, I was young and my memory is shit).

I gave my 360 to my son when I started modding as I didn't spend enough time on it and it started to gather dust.

I don't think i'm superior to anyone because of the platform they choose to play games on, i'm superior because i'm amazing and a giant arrogant bastard, i'm simply better than most people. That was a joke folks calm down, just trying to lighten the mood.

But what someone chooses to use as their gaming platfrom means less to me than what colour socks they are wearing.

But I am getting pissed off with the "you use a PC ... elitist prick".

No, just no. In fact, every person I see say that from now on i'm going to compare intellectually to plankton.

I don't abuse you for what platform you use, extend the same courtesy.

Disclaimer - When I said you I did not mean "YOU" personally, unless you have ever called a PC user an elitist in which case I did mean you dear reader with the IQ of sea scum.

I don't think "upset" is the right word, but how people still use consoles as their primary gaming platform in the year 2011 is just beyond me. I guess I feel... pity when people are willing to play on nothing but a console, and then sit there and steadfastly defend their objectively inferior platform. It's just depressing when people not just settle for mediocrity, but are completely content in it.
because some people can't afford a gaming pc, or simply don't want one.

WHAT!? Someone has a different oppinion than I do!? Unacceptable! Burn them! BURN THEM!
But honestly, I couldn't care less. However, my friends do sometimes, so I will go out of my way to piss them off for fun.

I agree, and I don't hate people who play on Xbox or PS3, I honestly could care less, but after you heard that ALL PC gamers are elitists, then I will start pulling the old card to where "Well, my hole isn't being constantly fucked up by publishers EVERY time a new triple A game comes out."

Seriously though, fuck off everyone who says all PC gamers are elitists, its getting to the point of ridiculousness.
You thoroughly managed to contradict yourself. Good job.

OT: I could care less. The only time I try and talk someone into buying a game on a certain platform is when it is a friend. I only have a 360 and PC, so when a friend is planning on buying something with online multiplayer on PS3, I try to tell him to get it on 360 just so we can play together. That is the only time I care.
With the last line, yes, but my point is still there, since I'm asking people who are calling all PC gamers Elitist Pricks to fuck off, my point is still valid, while people who call PC Gamers all Elitist Pricks, the contradiction to myself would be "Console Gamers are Elitist Pricks who attack on my console of choice all the time."

So no, I did not contradict myself, the contradiction doesn't exist, because I'm telling those who call PC Gamers Elitist Pricks to fuck off, not saying that Console Gamers are elitists. Does it make sense now.

Also, if I shoot your bag, will you drop a ROXKECT LUANCHGER!

Oh bloody hell. You even said you only care when it's a friend despite saying you could care less!

*ahem* sorry.

OT: Like people have said, I couldn't care less, unless it is a friend of mine that I want to destroy, usually this involves badgering them to buy NHL for the PS3.

Nope, though strangely enough I often find myself giving friends a hard time for not watching films in high def when it's an option.

I don't get upset if they say they play a given game on a given device. I o get upset when they feel the need to defend why they do it without provocation.

What are you talking about virtual boy wasn't garbage at all! It had 3D! Headache? Pfft just take some painkillers it's a great system!

Yeah I've seen people lash out like that, best most recent one though was on a game. "I don't like Zelda games" I say, then I get lots of anger because liking a game isn't subjective at all. A good thing is good afterall regardless of diversity of opinion, game preference and the like.

I do not and will never give a singular fuck about what games or consoles a person prefers. But holy shit, I've noticed that some gamers actually became the new Jehovas Witnesses, just shoving their beliefs into the urethra of anyone that disagrees.

Basically, gamers, grow the fuck up. Your console is not special, it's a hobby. I enjoy fishing but I don't go up to people and yell "FLY FISHING IS SUUUPEEEERIIIOOOR!!!".
I just want to say...thank you. I both agree and that was hilarious.

No I don't get bother by it per say but I sort of get the receiving end of it. E.g. my cousin own a PS3 and he find it weird when I told him I own a Wii and he made a big deal out of it.

I get kind of annoyed when my friends get a multiplayer game for a different console since I wouldn't be able to play online with them but it's personal preference so I can't judge them on it and I still have a few that play on the PC/PS3 so I'm still happy.
As for random people? I don't give a crap.

It doesn't bother me what other people play games on. Why would it? Every platform has its advantages.

It does bother me when my platform gets the inferior version of the game or doesn't get the game at all.

Gamers like this guy are the only ones who annoy me. I choose to play on a console because I don't have to worry about requirements or drivers or any of that other bull****. Sure, the graphics may not be as good but I don't care because when I get home with a game, I just pop it in and play. Graphics are not everything to everyone, and believe it or not, not everyone likes the same things you like. INSANE, I KNOW!
