I don't really "collect" anything per se. For example, while I have a video game collection spanning 20 years that consists of hundreds (I honestly haven't counted them in ages) of games, I never purchased any of them for the sake of collection - they were all bought and played for at least some length of time before being entombed. I also have a fairly large collection of fencing foils, but again this is simply because the sport essentially requires it. I have 3 dry foils (dry meaning non-electrically scored) for different purposes. One is fairly stiff and is my general use foil. One has a very flexible blade that I use to practice flicks, and then I have a stiff foil using a french grip versus a pistol style grip. I have a total of 10 different electric foils as well, again for different purposes. For any given competition, I'll probably bring five of them, simply because I seem to have a propensity to break them regularly in competition.
