Occasionally. Seeing as it's illegal for me, I try to keep it at a minimum.

When I do though... I never knew curtains could be used like that. That's all I'll say for now.

Nope. Although it is socially acceptable for me to drink now, I'm not of the legal age in my province.

I'll probably experiment a little bit when I turn 19 but I'll probably remain just as sober then as I am now.

I'm against alcoholism as I nearly lost a friend due to drunk driving.

I only drink a beer or wine once a week. I prefer wine over beer because most wine has more flavor and is sweeter, except for the dry wine, I hate that stuff.

I do drink. I drank every weekend when I was in college (I was on the cross-country and track teams and I was also in a sorority; I always had people to drink with). I still drink, just not as much or as often. The last time I was absolutely black-out drunk was my birthday, and that's just because people kept buying me drinks. I felt it would be rude to refuse them.

I do not consume alcohol, however I do sometimes partake of a good frothy mug of seltzer. By the way, nice user icon.

I like beer with food and mixed drinks with friends. Sometimes you drink more than you wanted. You remember the amount and the mixture of drinks, then you change things the next time. Simple, no?. People who obsess (all or nothing) are the people who go too far and have problems e.g. abusive drunks, addiction. It's a recreational drug. "Recreation" implies leisure and fun. If you are using it for any other purpose then you have real issues you need to address, thus only adults capable of handling adult problems (in theory) can buy alcohol.

Yes, and to the point of alchoholism. I tend to only drink rarely, but when I do I can't stop until I pass out. When I awake I crave it for the next few weeks.

I don't drink. I guess I've spent too much time around my boyfriend's alcoholic family (literally all of the people in his extended family are drunks, and annoying). Also, don't really like the taste. Also, I'm assuming I'd be a lightweight and get drunk easily, but I don't ever want to get drunk. I don't ever want to put myself into a situation where I don't have control of what I'm doing and don't have full awareness of what's going on. That just sounds terrifying.

No, I have no desire to be drunk. It seems totally stupid to me. That is to say nothing of the taste and hangover if you are not careful.

I've tried it once or twice, but most alcohol doesn't taste good to me. And as I'm not really the party type, I don't see myself becoming a compulsive drinker anytime soon.

I'm not a heavy drinker by any means. I'll have a glass of wine or a beer from time to time, but never enough to impair my judgment. I see little appeal to alcohol, it seems to me that the only reason people drink is to give them the courage to do things that they are otherwise too cowardly to do. If it is worth doing, I will do it without the effects of alcohol impairing me.

To the people saying that it tastes bad........ That's like saying all juice tastes bad, or all pop. You can't possibly generalise such a large inventory like alcohol. Their is so much variety.

Wine can taste fantastic, it can be dry, sweet even fruity. There are sweet liquors, strong liquors aniseedy drinks, creamy drinks.

Drink a real mohito or some traditional rum punch then tell me all alcohol tastes bad.
It's easier to generalise alcohol because in the end it's all ethanol mixed with some flavours. The ethanol really overpowers other tastes for some people (like me) and so it's fairly easy to just say that all alcohol tastes bad.

Having said that, I do drink some weak ciders because my social group tends to get awkward if everyone isn't drinking. It's usually 75% cider 25% blackcurrant concentrate though, because while the concentrate is horribly strong it tastes better than the cider itself.
