Why yes, making music and getting high suits me just fine.

I never did mind work though, as long as there's not too many assholes in your workplace.

Dude i jelly.

What do you need to use for that kind off job?

Like Programs, and what do you generally do on it.

Id just like a Point of view on which things maybe useful. :p
I use mostly Max and Photoshop. I'm an environment artist, so I do a lot of hard surface modeling and do my low/high poly stuff in Max, Character artists get into zbrush a lot more. Knowledge of some editors like Unreal, Source, are always important, especially if you can import stuff and can create materials. This might be my personal bias, but I also think that having some traditional/fine art background is also really helpful for an artist to be well-rounded.

Hope that's some help, if you ever have more questions, feel free to ask.

No, but I spent some time as Lux Interior, and I once thought I was Eugene Chadbourne for a week after i drank some very nasty hungarian booze..

I bus tables for $2.13 an hour for 35-40 hours of the week. You tell me if I would like that. I at least like my boss and coworkers.
You are fucking joking me... $2.13 an hour? *quick calculation* That's about £1.50/hr. You are 21...shouldn't that be illegal? Don't you have a minimum wage where you are?

I like my job, I work for a charitable trust that preserves historical buildings, gardens and stretches of countryside. It is unlikely to go anywhere although it puts me in a good place to transfer into something better in the same organisation should the opportunity arise. The pay isn't great in the grand scheme of things abut it is quite good for what it is and the area I'm in. Mainly I like it because I get on well with my co workers and all the people I deal with are generally quite nice, plus it's a garden for a large country manor so it's nice surroundings.

I do cable, Internet, and phone sales for a company called Wave Broadband. I'd like it a lot more if so much of my income wasn't dependent on commissions, which are only paid after install. So I can work my arse off selling, but a few customers bail or reschedule and suddenly my check is $250 less than expected. It sucks. I do have a fair degree of freedom though.

I can not stand what I do as a job. If the pay wasn't as good as it was, I would have left it a long time ago.

But thanks this helps, because im aware more of whats required.. :)
That's great to hear. With a good foundation, you can much more easily learn any new tools for creating art.

When I'm doing my ACTUAL job:

I am a 25B (Information Systems Operator/Analyst) in the US Army. What does this mean? Basically, if it connects to the internet, connects to a computer, has a digital display, or can, in any shape or form, be considered a 'digital device,' I have my fingers in it. From Help Desk to Tech Support; Computer technician to Network Administrator/Installer, to Cable Deployer to System Security, I have worked at least a little on everything.

And I fucking love it.

When I'm NOT doing my actual job:

I'm an all around ***** that does everything from mop to driving self important pricks to Burger King. This happens to be what I'm doing now a days.

I fucking hate it with all my heart and soul.

My pay is... adequate. My taxes claimed I made somewhere around 35 grand, but this is including wages re-claimed by the military. I make about 25 grand.

My hours vary wildly. Yesterday I worked from 0630 to 1330. Today I worked from 0600 to 1730.

Well, i am unemployed at the moment... And i never had a job i enjoyed. But that is my fault (But if i hadn't done all the shit, someone else would have). Ah, i wished i could go back in time and made some other decisions to get to do something enjoyable... sigh.

I make tips which makes it legal. Minimum wage here is $7.25 so it is legal as long as I make that much in tips. Also, I don't know what glitch in your spy satellites you apparently have, but I am only 20.
