With the recent ad on The Escapist, saying that a freelance news position has become avaliable, I thought it might be time to pose the question, Do you enjoy your job?

I personally am in Healthcare, working as a Anaesthetic nurse in Paediatric Surgury and while there are bad days I do find it satisfying.

How about you?

I might enjoy my job if I currently had one. The previous job I had was working in a food packaging plant. That job was ok at first but got really boring and tiring quickly.

I love being a Computer Tech, however I hated my actual place of employment and when they told me I would no longer be doing tech work I quit.

I start a new job on Monday in a new city and I have high hopes of enjoying it since I am back to being a technician.

I work as a builder apprentice under my dad who is a building contractor. Its pretty cushy, if i want a day off i just ask and i usually get it. Then again some days i work a lot of overtime.

Once we had this tiling job in a theatre, and we had to rip up all the tiles and put in new ones, but the council kept stopping use from working and there was a deadline. I worked from 8 in the morning till midnight using a heavy jackhammer!. still it wasnt as bad as the job before that could be.

before that i had a labouring job that made me really angry, because all the people i worked with were dicks.

Im happy working with my dad, i think the quality of the job comes down to the people you have to work with.

I absolutely hate my job. I work in healthcare, as a medical assistant in a doctors office. The office manager is a straight up ***** who loves to make my life miserable. That and the woman I work with is incredibly lazy and I end up doing most of her work as well as all of mine. And then I get told I'm lazy and I barely do anything. That place just makes me physically ill anymore. And at my last doctors visit, my doctor recommended that I find a new job because he can see how that place affects me emotionally and physically. I have a weak heart and he wanted me to get a stress test done. :/

I work with my dad as well, doing construction work. There isn't always a lot of use for unskilled labourers at the job, which is what I am, so when I run out of tasks, I either clean the jobsite with a magnet walker (basically a tool the size of a broom with a rectangular magnet on wheels instead of a brush), pick up garbage (Finished with that waterbottle? Don't bother throwing it out in the trash bin, the entire site is a trash bin!), or stand around waiting for my next task. And standing around is mind-rapingly boring. (how long has it been since I finished unloading the crane sections from the truck - half an hour? *checks watch, sees that 5 minutes have passed* Ffffffuck.")

Being able to put my physical fitness to use on the job is always a plus, as well as being out in the sun. I just hate it when I run out of menial tasks to do, which makes me look lazy compared to the people that actually know what they're doing.

I work at my karate school and let me just say that I've developed a hatred for children because of it.

I work picking stock in a warehouse so it can be loaded onto lorries and taken to stores across the country. I dont enjoy the work, but the job overall is alright if that makes sense.

The work itself is boring and repetitive, but the people who work with me are easy to get along with, the manager is lenient, and the shift pay is ok.

I'm only ever there during summer to get money together anyway. I guess I would hate it a lot more if I knew that was my real job and I would have to work there year in, year out.

When I had one I sure did. It wasn't very exciting, or very complicated - all I had to do was process affy-chips. That was it! I sat on a chair and fed chips into a machine and checked that the machine did it's job! Paid 45,000 dollars for that! Part time! Of course, the job only lasted for as long as the lab had funding, and that dried up because apparently our government thinks giving Malaysia 300 MILLION DOLLARS to "process" (i.e mistreat and keep away) refugees we are LEGALLY OBLIGATED to accept under UN TREATY, was a much better idea than funding, oh, I don't know, CANCER RESEARCH!

I very much enjoy my job.

I work for for the Walt Disney Company in their UK headquarters in Hammersmith and its an amazing experience.
I get to watch a lot of their films weeks and sometimes months in their private cinema before they are released to the public.
Also all the free stuff I get is a bonus, you never can have too many plushy toys and DVD's.

Yes I really like my job.
And I just know that I'll get a lot of hate from the elite gamer's because of the work I do.

Because at the moment I'm a game-developer for a flash and mobile company. We have a lot of casual-flash games and currently remaking a lot of retro games for mobile use.(with bought rights off course)

Nope. There are some good things, and days, to it though.

I'm just doing my current job to get by and save up some.

I talk into a microphone for minimum wage. On the upside, I can do an hours worth of work in about five minutes, and once recorded ten hours worth of radio in about 45 minutes. After that, I'm free to do pretty much whatever I want. In fact, I'm at work right now...

I love my job. I work the night shift as a security guard at a local industrial plant. It's fairly easy work, the pay is good and I don't have to deal with annoying people.

No. Being a store helper for this town's store isn't fun when it's hot and uncomfortable outside. I want to get back to school so I can continue studying carpentry.

3rd shift security officer at State Farm's state headquarters in Tennessee. Easy and I don't have to deal with people, but boring. I'm giving armed security a shot when I turn 21 in four months.

I don't have one at the moment. So I'm just kind of a house-spouse. I do house chores, and run small errands, and basically just do everything required to keep the house standing. Luckily, it's just me, the husband, and the dogs. Could be worse.
