So when Im reading a comment and see somones avatar I get a kind of mental picture that its actualy the avatar (what ever it is) talking,

even more so if somones avatar is a gif of somone speaking or it looks like their speaking (which Ive seen a couple)

like are you imagining a dog with a notebook saying all this?

I don't do that. And if people do that for me, keep in mind I look nothing like my avatar.

I do that with his. Only his and Jack and Calumon. I just make Jack sound like Nolan North or Commander Shepard, and then Calumon is obvious.

I generally just read everything in my own voice. Except for Jack and Calumon, I don't know why, but read Calumon in like a pokemon voice thing.

I don't usually, and I suppose my avatar throws that off a bit. Unless you feel like making up a voice for it. The exception as some have mentioned is Calumon, because... it's Calumon

Sometimes, though my avatar has a strange speaking voice.

I do that for a few of the above. Doctor Cox, Jack and Calumon.

But most I pull a voice from the words they use. Bad grammar, spelling, and such makes the voice more idiotic. Some people I read get the evil overlord treatment, especially the 'Your opinion doesn't matter, because I have an opinion' guys that run around.

sort-off, only if the avatar is capable of speaking (like a human or anthropomorphic)

I occasionally do that, sometimes even reading it in their personality.

I don't do that, but I do tend to think of the avatar as the actual person.
