Speaking of your avatar... is that Joseph Gordon-Levitt dressed as a woman? Because it really looks like it.
Um...NO! Not at all. It's Brie Larson, in character as Envy Adams from Scott Pilgrim.

So when Im reading a comment and see somones avatar I get a kind of mental picture that its actualy the avatar (what ever it is) talking,

even more so if somones avatar is a gif of somone speaking or it looks like their speaking (which Ive seen a couple)

like are you imagining a dog with a notebook saying all this?
Sometimes I do, but it really depends on the avatar. You know, sometimes I feel crazy when someone has a object in their avatar, like a ball, car, or something and I'm trying to imagine it talking. x.x
Our lovely moderator said it best.

Now, try to picture my avatar speaking harmoniously in your mind... A voice that's not a voice, but you recognise it as words in a calming echo-like omnipresence in your head.

Or just imagine something along the lines of what a Naaru might sound like in WoW. They look close enough.

I guess my avatar is pretty awesome in your opinion then?

I do something similar insomuch as when I read a comment made by someone I look at the avatar and wonder if it's the sort of thing that avatar would say, i.e. I try and get a reading on the sort of person who wrote the comment by looking at the avatar.

Acutally someone mentioned Jack and Callum and actually it's odd I image two voices for them when I read their comments.

No... But I always think of the poster by their avatar and not their name.

Speaking of which, I need to Gimp my Maul again...

I do that too sometimes. theres someone with a Doctor Cox Avatar on here and i always read his posts in that characters voice.
I do that with his. Only his and Jack and Calumon. I just make Jack sound like Nolan North or Commander Shepard, and then Calumon is obvious.
Who the hell would I make yours sound like? XD

Sometimes. It dpeends on the avatar.

Though the avatar affects how I read it and take it. So if its something filled with bile, and the avatar looks sarcastic, I think its sarcastic.

I always do that.

I don't really know the characteristics of my avatar(s).
Can someone tell me if my characters are assholes?

I've heard they do exist in a comic.

I've only done that once, and that was with an avatar of that silver wolf from som cartoon or anime (don't remember). It was like 8 years ago at another forum. When I told the owner of the profile about this, he asked me if I've been smoking something weird lately :p

On occasion, I can very easily imagine that little doggy writing all that down.

More often than not it makes little sense though. I sure hope people don't do it with my avatar. When I actually picked it it did represent my emotional state at the time. Nowadays...not so much. Though that might chance now I'm getting driving lessons. Good gods that's starting to get frustrating.

I don't do that. And if people do that for me, keep in mind I look nothing like my avatar.
Who is your avatar anyway. She looks cute, in a cheeky sort of way.

EDIT: Can't seem to get this image to load. Ah well, you all know what The Professor looks like, and you're thinking about the line, too!

Everyone sounds like Nolan North in my head. Unless their avatar is a My Little Pony. Then their voice sounds like Simon from the Yogscast's "AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" voice.
