Do you ever lose track of time when you play a game?

In a good way though. Not in a "addicted" kind of way. Maybe the game was really immersive or fun or whatever.

A good OP always starts to get things going. It happened to me today. I lost track of time in a game for the first time since early July when I bought RDR. I came home from school today, and I booted up my copy of Just Cause 2 that I bought on Tuesday. Then it was dark outside 5 hours later and I felt like I just woke up. It was quite a strange feeling, but equally good. I know this wasn't an "addicted" kind of loss of time, cos I wasn't just playing this game, I was playing it and I had more fun than I did in early July when I played through RDR for the first time.

Now you.

EDIT: I forgot to mention Batman: Arkham Asylum. Good timeless times.

All the time. Most recently was during a 10 hour gaming session. I was never more surprised to see the sun.

IMO if you don't lose track of time while playing a game, it failed to grab your interest well enough.

The first time I played Bioshock I played it for 16 hours straight. It's just that good.

See: Mass Effect 2

When I first got the game at around 10am, the next time I looked at the clock it was around 9pm.
Minecraft is another game where it only feels like I've played a short while and it ends up being 2 hours since I've started.

I do that all the time, just to a lesser extent. If I sit down and play anything like WoW, Dragon Age, Mass Effect or Assassin's Creed, I then "wake up" and realize : Crap! Got class in 15 min! How did that happen??

And most of the time I don't feel like I've made any in-game progress at all.

Yes, but usually the max I play is for about 3 hours

...

before going next door to my friend's house and playing another three hours.

The max I ever played in a row was 14 hours, and that was because I was trying to get the "7 day survivor" achievement in Dead Rising, which I successfully achieved :)

Well obviously, but I'm talking about when all time and space around you ceases to exist. All you see is the game. You are one with the game would be a faggy way to put it.

Bioware games do this to me all the time. Sure, other games do too, but never as powerfully and frequently.

Every time I pop in God of War 3 (since I got it fixed).

The pacing in that game is so good, it's gotten to the point where I force myself to stop after I save 5 times, be it at the same checkpoint or not.

If it's a good game, I can't keep track of time for the life of me. Every time I try to play Baldur's Gate 2, everything else goes out the window. There have actually been a couple of times when I'd have forgotten to eat something if the loading screen hadn't reminded me.

Never. The clock is right next to the screen. Couldn't lost track if I tried.

Wait, that's not TOTALLY true. I occasionally lose track of time when playing DS games, but only for an hour or two.

First day I got Sins of a Solar Empire. Installed and finished tutorial at about lunch time. Won my first game later to find it was 4 in the morning.

Yeah I do relatively often. With a couple of my friends we can play a couple of games for like an ETERNITY and not realize it. Most recently its been: Dragonball Z: Raging Blast, the two Naruto: Ultimate Storms, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, Modern Warfare 2 and Resident Evil 5. On my own I've lost quite a LONG time to Bioshock, Bioshock 2, Burnout Paradise (its just so much fun and it looks so good), Heavy Rain (I just find it so damn hard to put down) and Twisted Metal 2. I always love the games that lets me lose time like this.
