There's no harm in it, and at least it means you can talk things thru with someone you trust.

What used to spook me is every now and then ,late night, I used to hear these angry, arguing voices, I could sense they were hateful towards me, but never make out any words, used to creep me out thoroughly. That didn't last for more than a few years tho, and only for a few nights in a row maybe every few months.

I should state I've not killed anyone :)

Sometimes, if I go someplace pitch black, or my power goes out randomly, I'll talk to myself to "fill the void", and keep my mind off thoughts of something freaky happening.

Though, I don't have conversations with myself.

Me: You have conversations with different selfs!

I: Like Me, or Myself, or even I, which is me!

Myself: The conversations always get confusing, because none of us can ever figure out whether someone is referring to Me the person or "me" the word.

Me: And then, when someone says "I just did something," I, the person, gets all defensive.

I: Well, you guys don't have to lie about what I did!

LWM3398: ...We have fun.

Everyone talks to themselves, that's called "thinking." All it takes is a lack of inhibition to do that verbally.

But I've never talked to myself at a normal volume, at most I mutter.

I talk to myself all the time. I also talk to inanimate objects especially my TV and PC though that is often more yelling and cursing at how stupid the people on TV are or why my PC won't do what I tell it to.

"- I sat down and looked for my keys which where nowhere to be found..."

Sure, always have. Even more since I moved out and live alone.
I know that feeling. It's kind of comforting just to hear something, since I'm isolated quite a bit now. I don't talk out complex problems aloud though, it's mostly if I hear a particularly stupid line from Maury or something in the background, so I'll add an "and junk" to the end of it for credibility.

I do it a lot, but not when other people are around, that's just weird. If I'm board and alone though, I will talk to myself, I've even told myself to shut up quite a few times. But it's not like I'm having a conversation with myself, I'm just thinking out loud.

Yes, all the time, sometimes things make more sense when discussed out loud, and more often than not, I have no-one else to discuss them with.

Crazy? Yes. Helpful? You bet.

I'm another member of the "Thinking Aloud" club, I even got the shirt. No full-on conversations though, just have nobody around, so I start speaking my thoughts so I can practice my speaking, don't wanna have my voice box atrophy or anything.

I talk to myself. I did it a lot more as a child though. I'm an only child, so I figure I did it to keep myself amused

Well, I say plans out liud, just to get them straight in my head.
"Okay, so mines here, then I jump out of this window..."
And of course:
"Oh fuck!"
"Bollocks!"
"Shit!"
