Do you ever think outside the box?

To continue the FC2 trend I would sneak into an enemy encampment, plant IEDs under their vehicles and sneak back out. I would then get to a safe sniping position, set off the bombs and snipe them as they ran around like headless chickens.

Also in Mercenaries 2 I would attach C4 to whatever vehicle I was riding, get up to full speed then bail-out sending it flying into an enemy road block/encampment then detonate.

The only time any part of me is IN the box is when I sneeze and my boogers accidentally end up landing in there.

The only game I've been playing much recently is Blood Bowl, and that is a very box-friendly game.

Sure, you CAN probably score an extra point or two with a totally unexpected play, but when "out of the box" means things like "playing physical game with wood elves".. Well, I don't think I have to explain who those are bad ideas to anyone who knows Blood Bowl.
(Basically, Blood Bowl is like american football except your players don't only get experience by completing passes and scoring touchdowns. They also get experience by seriously injuring or killing opposing players.
And wood elves are fragile, so they don't like the idea of tackling, say, a seven to eight foot tall guy with claws, tentacles coming out of his shoulders and wearing a full plate armor covered in huge spikes.)

Other than that I sometimes play out of the box, but mostly I want my games to give me a purpose, Too much sand in my box tends to bother me.

I love doing that, especially with Oblivion. It's fun to just forget the quests you're supposed to be doing and have a little fun messing with the world. Living the life of the adventurer you've created is loads of fun, and better than some of the quest ideas Bethseda has given us.

And Sims2 is basically a role-playing game in itself. Besides, it's fun going on a townie-killing spree everyonce in a while. XD

Hellgate London is kinda like Oblivion in the sense that you just run around killing things that have to do with quests. No one plays that game anymore, but I love the fact that you can either go crazy-barbarian and run in and kill shit and have some kind of dramatic exit, or you can go all stealthy, sneaking up behind creatures and killing things from the shadows.

It honestly depends on how bored I am, and how open ended it is.
Agreed. :)

Fallout 3, making believe that I was a psychopath. I did everyone's quests then killed everyone. I MEAN EVERYONE! Except for the random few gods that apparently walk amongst us in the form of children and random people called "Androids". For example...
1.Do all megaton quests then kill everyone.
2.Blow up megaton.
3.Kill everyone in Tenpenny tower.
4.Let ghouls into tower.
5.Kill all ghouls.
MUHAHAHAHA

Way back in Spider-Man 2, I'd used to do foot races with cars when I was bored.

In Prototype, my main strategy for fighting tough enemies was to lure them into a zone of the opposite faction and letting them kill each other.

In Marvel vs. Capcom 2, I was dared by a friend to play Arcade Mode on Expert with nothing but Servbots (it was about my 3rd time playing the game too). I almost won my first match too...

I think outside the box, if I can. There's always another solution. I like Mercenaries, it lets you choose how you blow up something. Great!

In TF2, most all I do is try to find ways to annoy the enemy team so much that they all want to kill only me, and then one of my teammates will win the game for us

EX:
-Sit in front of the enemy respawn area in 2fort and repeatedly launch grenades at it
-Run in circles right next to our objective, and get everyone to chase me away while the rest of the team captures
-Stand in a spot where snipers can easily shoot me and taunt until they all focus on me

Unfortunately, I could never get that into Oblivion. Maybe it's just me, but the game just didn't provide that much immersion.
I suggest Morrowind in that case. Older, but about 50 times as immersive.
I loved Morrowind! If Oblivion had even close to that level of immersion in addition to it's prettier graphics, it would be the best RPG of all time.

Saints Row 2: I hide a satchel charge along a road in chinatown, then get up on a roof and detonate when a cop drives by. Also I crash planes into the ultor building.

Yep that game is my little terror simulator.

Yes, in this context, certainly. I like to let my actions define my characters, otherwise there's no real purpose or attachment to them. I got super attached to my Lone Wanderer, even though they turned out to be an evil psychopath, because every element of their actions and dialogue fitted this evolving personality and psychological profile I could see them conforming to.

I think I would end up with a massively long post if I went into details about it, but it got to the point where James (Dad) confronted my character about their evil behaviour, and I got really pissed off at him, because I was like, "It's not her fault! You ABANDONED her, damn it!"

Play as Spy and dominate the other teams heavys. It's hilarious and eventually, they will switch class.
What I love about being a spy is, if you do anything obvious, EVERYONE drops what they're doing and chases you. One time on Badwater, I stabbed 2 people on the cart and ran backwards towards the 2nd point. The other three people pushing the cart ran after me, as did the people coming up to join the push. Ditched them easily, know that map like the back of my hand.

Congratulations, you've just been reported.

OT: In Fallout 3, I like to pretend I'm the lord of the wasteland. And thusly everything belongs to me, whether the actual owner agrees with me or not.

Killing 1 civilian in Assassin's Creed 2, then going to another corner of Venice to kill 2, then 3, then 4. It's much more fun to be notorious in Assassin's Creed 2 than in GTA games, IMO.
