oh what a dark and emo thread this is :(
let's cut our wrists all together and use our blood as an eyeliner(and take myspace pics in teh mirror wheee!)
I'm not trying to be emo! That's a stupid word... I'm just depressed, and tired of it! I just want to know if I'm the only one who is! I mean, looking back on every part of my life...IT'S JUST A JOKE! From a father who wasn't there when I was born, to being a neglected middle child, from watching my family tear itself apart from the inside while I was so helpless! SHIT!
Actually LOTS of people have the same and WORSE problem than you. Whining and shutting yourself in isn't gonna solve anything though.

Strange thing to say on a internet forum but I actually think I might of found someone that shares the same problem as me.
Y'know what, the name of the thread is, Do You Feel Alone, not Solve My Problem, tell me if your hurt, but don't try to figure things out like you know the whole story, k?

Feeling alone in a crowd is mostly caused by having a low self-esteem or a bit of paranoia, it's mostly simple depression though. When surrounded by strangers, many people activate their social shields and deflect, mostly out of fear. Fear of social rejection, the "everyone hates me / I look like shit" scenario, or the ego burst, the "feh, so many idiots, brainwashed zombies, just walking around like rats in a maze".

Being alone on the internet is just an extension of that. Nothing to worry about. Totally normal thing.

It's just...everywhere I look I see people. People who have already got enough friends in their lives. I work at the fucking mall, and all I see are people smiling, laughing, hanging out with their friends, and I ask myself, "Why can't I have that? Why is it so hard?" And when you try to get people to talk to you they just brush you away...why?
Moping is not the way, you've got to throw yourself out there. Again, what's the worst that could happen? And not only that, try to be happy with what you have. You are blessed, I can tell, because again you can afford internet and I imagine a place to live. Whatever you're feeling now, I doubt you have nothing to offer other people. Seriously! The jerks that brush you off aren't the sort you want to be friends with anyways.

I can honestly say, I've never felt that one...could be just how I was raised, then later my studies....I just....can't see things that way. NOW it may be even less likely I have to worry about that, a spouse, children... but you know what.. don't let it get the best of you....dig deep down and nit pick through those layers and see if you can find whats triggering it ( as I guarantee alot of that additional suffering is just built up stress from that or other things) and though it may sound tough...let go, take note of the other qualities around you, I really wish I could talk more clearly on exactly what I mean....but you know how to reach me should you ever want to.

Ughhhh......
1st of all laughing ans smiling and shit don't nessecairily means that they are really happy and that they're friends are so super duper (etc etc) I was smiling and laughing with a friend of mine cause of the amazingly FUCKED UP condition our lifes were at that time (knowing inside that, that same friend had stabbed my back over and over and over)
It's better not having friends than have some asswipe mofo that will backstab you at ever chance he gets.
Botton line is that it's not all that black and white.

I don't really feel alone and if I ever do, I just make people agree with me. How, you may ask?
Because I'm British and everyone knows that the British can talk the trousers off of anyone, pip-pip.

I'm not alone in the sense that I have family and adults to talk to, but I need to get out and find some other weirdos to form a nakama, I haven't had one in a while. ^_^

On occasion, but I know im not really. Its all the voice inside your head trying to put you down.

Never listen to it! :p

Go outside for a walk or something, get some fresh air, some exercise. You will feel much better for it.
Try that.
