I'm only 16, but I've been mistaken for a University student before. I look like more of an adult then my 19 year old sister.

Back on topic, I'm normally going "Hell yeah, I'm a year older, not long now before I'm 18!"

And then I'm all like "Ah, another year closer to death, sadface."

Happy Birthday :].

I've never really felt any different after a birthday. I just end up having more stuff / money.

I might've felt different if I'd not had any alcohol before being legally allowed to, but then I would've missed out on going to the beer festivals and I wouldn't have discovered my love for real ale until a couple of years ago.

Happy Birthday!

I feel no different, every now and then I usually actually forget my age.

After turing 21 - wich was 6 years ago - birthdays became just another day of the year, but worse since my family comes to visit and we all just around saying nothing because there's nothing going on in my life.

At 17 I was allowed to drive a car so that felt important. My birthday's in July, whilst the admission date for school is set sometime in August/September. So a lot of my friends were driving before me, and were 18 before me, but I went to clubs regularly. I never got asked for id once, my friends often were though and it was embarrassing for them. I carried id after I turned 18, as it wasn't worth the risk of ruining a night out. Becoming 21 in the UK I was lucky to have a number of different social circles (school friends/job/college) so I made sure that one went well. I don't pay that much attention to it now though.

No, well not since I was 12 anyway. I don't remember before then but when it was my 18th birthday a few months ago I felt nothing as I wouldn't be doing anything different.

Happy Birthday!
And to answer your question, no, I don't feel any older after a birthday. I know I am older, but I don't feel any older. It's wierd.

What I said to an aunt on my 18th birthday when she asked how it felt to be 18.

"Pretty much the same as it felt to be 17 years and 364 days old."

As I don't participate in any age restricted activities I kinda stopped paying attention to my age at about that time.

I'm 23... but I have to think about it for a moment to come up with that figure (to the point of sometimes performing mental arithmetic with the current year and my birth year).

Not really to be honest, I just find it a date as everyone else, but for some reason I get depressed if no one remembers it, which is most of the time...

I don't do anything special to celebrate my birthday and I have even forgotten it once. They are nothing special for me and I don't feel any different. Happy 18th for you though, life is downhill from now on.
