Something I've always wondered, do you ever feel older on a birthday? Or...different somehow?
'Tis my 18th today, and I havn't really felt different in the past, but I do feel older today. Probably to do with all the things I'm allowed to do now.

But yeah, interesting question?
I feel old and weary. Another planet is added to my worn shoulders. My burden weighs down heavier.

Congratulations. ^^
The only way I feel different is that people ask me if I feel different all the time after my brithday. It's annoying.
But I turned 20 a couple weeks ago, and I feel a little more grown up. Even though I'm more childish now than I was when I was 7.

I still feel like I'm six.

And occasionally act like I'm six.
This is a good philosophy by which to live. We can all learn from you.

On topic: I tend to feel more depressed than usual, perhaps because my family won't fucking shut up about it. Would that qualify?

I normally have this weird feeling that it should feel different but it doesn't.

After my next birthday (20) I get this feeling that I get a lot less "significant" ones (like 10 you reach double figures, 13 you've become a teenager, 15 you can watch 15 rated movies, 16 you can learn to drive and have sex, 18 you can vote and drink, 20 you stop becoming a teenager). From then on I feel it would be like "woo, I'm 23... well, what now?".

Also, a lot of the age restrictions didn't really mean much to me when I reached them. Like when I turned 18, I'd been drinking and watching 18 movies for a few years already, now I was just allowed to do them in pubs/cinemas (heck, I'd even been drinking in pubs for a couple of years by that stage).

I had a minor panic attack on my 19th birthday, and I imagine that I'll have another one in 107 days when I turn 20.

Not really. I don't have this feeling that I'm getting older. I feel that the world is getting younger.

The only thing is that, at age 22, I somehow start to dread the magical age of '30'. Which is kind of the time when your youth is over. And, if I look back at the past 21 years, I wouldn't say it was that impressive.

Happy Birthday!

I didn't think I'd feel any different, but after a couple friends did something really special for me, I definitely did feel different. I felt really happy, and just because of that, I likely had my best birthday ever this year.

All other ones, I felt nothing.

Does a hangover count?
What about just being drunk? Apart from when I turned 18, where I felt awesome 'cos I was 18, no not really at all. I just had my 19th 2 weeks ago and apart from going out and getting smashed and well u know, I didn't do anything and I do those things anyway and have been for the last 2-3 years - Maybe in the US it's different as you still can't drink when you are 18 there, fuck I love Australia.
