I'm mostly annoyed when people acts overly patriotic about our Swedish flag.
Like it would actually fucking matter which country you are from.

Not really, though I don't see the point in intentionally damaging one either. If anything, the unnecessary waste of resources annoys me.

Yes because it's dishonorable and it's against the law.
Actually, it's not against the law in the U.S. It's a protected act of free speech. And it's no more dishonorable than many of the things that have been done in the name of it.

No, I don't give a crap about my flag.
I was born in Norway, so fucking what? That doesn't, and shouldn't, change a thing about your opinion on the country.
And our flag is ugly as well, in my opinion.

I take proper respect of the US flag. its the symbol of our country.
I see battered and beaten flags and think to myself, "they should probably retire it and get a new one" but at least its being flown.

Sure, the flag is put on coffee mugs and speedos and plastered all over so it doesn't seem special anymore, and it would be nice to see everyone treat it more respectfully, but dammit I root for the home team and at least I treat that flag proper.

I don't care if a civilian disrespects the flag. They can do what ever the hell they want, and I expect no better from them.
So... you'll get angry when a soldier disrespects the symbol of the spirit of the American people, but when it actually comes to the American people themselves you yourself don't respect them? That seems a bit contradictory.

Anyway, the only time I get angry about Ireland's flag is when assholes rip out the orange part (which represents protestants) because they're intolerant fucks.

when drunk yobbs use the ausie flag as a cape, yeah its hard to take it seriously.

But something about the Kings colours gets me all worked up(and my heritage is french and Irish the two most British hating nations out) i don't know why perhaps its subconsious but the union jack gets me all patriotic. People say flags don't matter but i think symols do matter and Britain seems like that to me. ( Wellington, Nelson, Cromwell, Drake, Bodidica heroes all) i just feel good men died under that banner often for good reasons (as often as bad) i feel that deserves more than the torch of protestor who is likely MR.urbanjoe as enlightened as pond scum.

perhaps in the breast of this colonist beats the heart of an englishman. Perhaps its antiquated and outdated but when you stand bloodied leaning on the flag pole of your nation amidst people you knew that now lay dead a banner flying triumphantly, you say "we stood and refused to fall" that should be worth something (because face it politics on the whole meant shit all to the people who fought under the banner)its not just a piece of cloth to those who hold it dear and people should respect that.

had to edit coz i started reading what people said. ( if any one knows who i am i apologise for swearing)

Fuck why don't you fought under the blistering sun with nothing but the colours on your shoulder and the person at your side till all is one and say the symbol mean s nothing. Fuck of its a piece of cloth, the tricolour means something, the Union jack meant something just because your a liberal left wing toss dosn't mean you have the right to bad mouth things you never held dear. fuck off.

My flag? No not really, it's just a symbol. Disrespecting my country however irritates me.

I don't get upset over it. "It's just a flag. They can get a new one."

Off topic:
People who fly the Confederate flag make me a bit pissed at them for not wanting equality for everyone, but its their flag on their property.

I don't care, why should anyone care? Maybe it's because I don't like my country, but I believe that unless something directly affects an individual, that the individual shouldn't care about anything. It's just a flag, it's not like they're pulling out the bombs or anything. Every roll of toilet paper made, and to be made, could have my country's flag printed on it and I still wouldn't care.

No, I have no connection to any flag anyway. I am from Zambia and nobody really waves around the flag unless it's during a football game or something. But besides that, it's just a piece of cloth; nothing bad will happen if it's damaged.
