I love the title "if so, how so"

Well, I don't eat a lot, mostly because I just forget to.
I guess it just balances out.
I also hike, and camp, and white water raft, and all that other kind of out doorsy kind of stuff

I skip cadio way too often, but this is how I usually do it:
Monday: Breast and triceps workout
Wednesday: Legs and shoulders
Friday: Back and biceps

Put 15-20 min of cardio infront of it all and your good =)
Just a couple of suggestions. You should try and switch triceps with biceps, usually it's better to do chest+biceps and back+triceps, or a separate day of biceps+triceps is even better if you have the time.
Why do you say that?
Chest excercises like the benchpress are putting alot of effort on the triceps. This way, you might find yourself not being able to do many triceps excercises after chest, due to exhaustion.
The only way you can do an EFFECTIVE chest + triceps workout is if you are an advanced bodybuilder and/or you use some "potions" on the side.
As I stated at the end of my post, though, it all depends on the person as well. For me, biceps + triceps in the same day works best, because my chest routine is very intense and exhausting.

I didn't want to mislead the person I initially quoted, although I see now that I have said "usually it's BETTER to do chest+biceps and back+triceps" , so I used the word "better" in a subjective way. The secret here is to try everything. You'll be surprised how much you own body can be different from others.

I fight Amateur and Semi-pro MMA.

Muay Thai is great for losing weight with tons of cardio, BJJ is great for flexibility and general health. Wrestling is good for strength and is a very athletic movement pattern.

All of this combined with a crossfit-inspired strength and conditioning program and eating decently and you have yourself a pretty healthy life-style.

EDIT: Well being punched in the brain every day is not healthy - but something about eggs and omelets..

Dogs.
I go out running with them a couple of times a week.
I also have dumbbells to vent frustration after especially annoying losing streaks in SC2.
All in all, it's pretty half-assed, but I'm in decent shape.

Planning is key
What do you eat, what did you eat and what are you gonna eat.

there is no magical "only eat celery"-trick as you can do in Fable, in truth you can eat exactly anything, as long as you consider that and make a balance.

to actually closely and consciously think about what you eat is really a good way to keep an eye on your weight, for example:
if you know you are gonna eat or drink something really unhealthy because it's a special occasion then take something really light for lunch and take a long walk or something after dinner.

it all comes down to common sense, a very likely reason to why you are where you are now is that you don't really consider what you eat or how much and how often.

exercise is good too, but not every kind helps in loosing weight, junk lifting is one of the least effective ones, you'll get stronger but muscles have no problem exsisting under masses of fat.
you should either try the treadmill, or just simply take a walk, a walk can do a hell of a lot more than you'd think it does, 45 minutes at least of walking every day is recommended for every one.

another tip: make your own food.
that way you know exactly what's in it and how much of fat, sugar and so on and so forth.
and lunch bags are a great way to lessen your calorie in-take if you usually go out and eat instead, eating at resturants and fast food places are genreally bad.
and really make sure to eat some fruit or something between the meals because that keep the blood sugar levels in check so you don't start craving candy and stuff like that, the ammount of sugar in a fruit wont get anywhere near the ammount you'll find in most candy, and fruit will usually not contain any fat (there are excpetions of course)

really, I'd say skip the calory counting, sure take the occasional peek on the back of the food package and see the nutrition values so you can make realistic estimates, but most of the stuff that works and lasts are common knowledge and sensability.

you can eat anything just not always =P

I'd take it you've never heard of an upper/lower push/pull split before. If you do it the way you suggested you would be hitting triceps three times a week. On the chest day, on the shoulders day (OHP or other shoulder compounds) and on their dedicated day which leaves not much recovery time. Same deal with biceps. The way Kaim currently has it he has more rest time. Let's not forget that regular and incline bench press both hit triceps.

I try to just eat less junk food and do more exercise. Actually started playing my xbox whilst on a treadmill or exercise bike. It beats going to the gym, and I dont get bored so fast.
O.O you fucking genius! Why haven't we been doing this for ages?!

As for me, I've just put on like half a stone from eating so much crap in my first year of college. I'm about 5"5' and weigh about 9 stone. I think that's like 126 pounds.

When I was staying in shape though I went to karate classes with a friend and occasionally other things like boxing, muay thai and tai kwon do. But they're bloody hard if you're new to exercise.

I recommend doing as many push-ups and crunches when you wake up in the morning before you shower and then going for a run and repeating after watching your favourite show.

Getting into the routine really helps.

Or watch a movie and get yourself pumped.

Recovery is all about nutrition. You'll never be able to set the bar higher if you work more muscle areas a day, considering you will want a maximum gain from the workout.
An advanced workout should consist of 5 types of exercises at high intensity and after a well done chest workout, you should barely be able to lift a water bottle, not even thinking about another triceps workout.

Alas, my mistake for giving him advice from advanced workouts.

Here is a workout plan example for beginner, intermediate, adv intermediate and advanced. It's a great website and it explains everything you need to know. I won't give anymore misleading advice :)

(Like most other guys, I'm doing it because girls are a tad more shallow than they claim to be and are very much affected by how a guys physique is; I mainly know this because I've been rejected multiple times for a guy who's a lot more fit than me.)
And you aren't affected by that?

I bike to school when there is no snow and I usually walk home if there is. I have taken a fitness course in grade 10, 11, and now 12. During the school year in the semester that doesn't have fitness I run a 6-8k run on the weekends. During summer I run that same distance but 3-4 times a week. Cardio exercises are the best way to stay in shape.

I run almost everyday, and, beyond that, walking is my primary mode of transportation. Not to mention I'm on my school's swim team. And I eat fairly healthily.

Best thing is to get active. Doesn't really matter how, just get moving a bunch so you burn calories. After you've slimmed down a little, then I would suggest weight lifting. Basically it's the cardiovascular exercises such as running and swimming that will burn calories and lifting exercises that will build muscle mass.

I mean every human is affected by how another human looks. Whether we like it or not, everyone of us judges other by the way they look. As we get to know the person better, other things start to take part in how we view that person but their looks is what what we get first.
Not that important to the overall topic of the threat but I just wanted to point that out.

www.bodybuilding.com is a good website for fitness. There are constantly new articles on eating right and working out. Don't let the the intense, jacked people on the page fool you. The articles and exercises are really easy to get into. I started using it in May and I've dropped over 40lbs since.
