You're right, it is a 'yes and no' answer. Even for me.
Like Avatar for instance. I know it's a good movie, but it became really annoying when my whole school (well not everyone) decided it's the greatest movie ever made and based many quizes and projects around the fucking movie! The worst part was they expected me to attend an end year class WHERE WE HAD TO WATCH THE MOVIE!!! They told me it was compulsory, I told them to pull the other one.
It also happens a lot with music for me because a lot of the interesting songs are hardly/never played live because of the commercial songs the simpletons only listen to. No offence, but it's really bloody annoying.
