No, I've no problem watching girly anime. My girlfriend often has me watching it. It's just 90% of girl anime I do not like.

Nope, I never watch it, but I don't have a problem with it. I just don't watch it because I'm too busy watching giant robot shows.

Nope. Not bothered at all. I grew up watching it and the hardcore super-violent 'manly' anime. I like them both.

Shojo anime..?
Not my cup of tea at all.

I've tried to watch a few, but for some reason the story always seems the same and the male character that the female lead craves for all in theuniverse also always look the same. They just get too bland and boring for my taste.

EDIT: Before anyone starts raging about my ignorance... I don't know a lot about this subject i'm just posting what little experience i have with this sort of thing.

My girlfriend watches 'girly' anime next to the more action-orientated ones, I have no problem with it, as long as she doesn't make me watch. :p

I don't have a problem with it. The cuteness and girliness has it's place if it's done well, but like everything, I like there to be substance behind it.

Like the quirkinesss and girliness in FLCL, they were funny, cute, absurd and done really well, and they were good, stylistic ways of showing how each character ticks, how Noata was "coming of age" and was awkward around girls, always trying to cover up all his typical adolescent behaviors with attempts to look and act more mature then other people.

I tend to read mangas/manhwas, without much discrimination (exceptions primarily being the harem and ecchi genres.), but I'm also working my way towards a sizable collection of anime, the newest hard-copy addition, which is Ouran Host Club (I've had the anime for ages, but I didn't OWN it.)

If by "girly", you mean romance animes as opposed to shoujo, which is the genre supposed to be targeted at girls, not that I have much of a problem reading/watching content from that either.

I've got:
Air
Byosoku 5 centimeter - 5 Centimeters per Second -
Chobits
Clannad
D.N.Angel (sooooo much worse than the manga, to my great sorrow)
Eureka 7
FLCL
Koi Kaze
Kumo no Muko, Yakusoku no Bashou - The Place Promised in our Early Days -
Nanatsuiro Drop (just to give you an idea of how much cute has been packed into this one, here's the opening, and that's merely a fraction.) Onegai Teacher
Shakugan no Shanna (both Seasons)

Everything listed is merely what I've currently got in my possession.

It's primarily a western thing that romance = girly, the Japanese have plenty of romance mangas/animes marketed primarily towards guys, in the vein of Onegai Teacher, Onegai Twins and the like.

TLDR: I have no compunction whatsoever about watching girly animes.

Of course! I really, really prefer it over shallow action anime like Bleach. I absolutely love girly anime, and I'm pretty big fan of a few shoujo animes (animes made for teenage girls).

No problems here. I won't seek them out, and will be sceptical, but if I enjoy it then it's simple as that.
Example: Rozen Maiden. Ok, I enjoyed it, I hereby confess it to the readers of this thread.

Does "My Bride is a Mermaid" count
Even so, I HATED the ending.

It was still a good show.

I'm also a fan of Utena, but I'm not entirely certain if that counts as girly or if it counts as "magical girl anime meets NGE"

Now Im normally a manly guy. I cant stand watching chick flicks or soaps, but for some reason I dont mind watching anime that is a little on the feminine side. For example im watching one called Toradora. The little girl is soooo cute!!! ..... cough ... I mean shes SEXY!!!! Ok you see what Im mean lol.
So tell me, do you enjoy girly anime?
TORADORA IS NOT GIRLY. It's shonen. It's for guys.

oh god i loved toradora. And clannad. And love hina is pretty cool so far. I'm fine with "girly" animes as long as its's targeted towards males. so no "something school rumble" or "something high host club"

toradora.... so awesome...
Holy crap I forgot about this thread lol. Whats weird is Im trying to watch Clannad now and I can't seem to get into it.
