I'm very interested. Sony and MS seem to be trying to make their consoles into heavily restricted gaming PCs, whereas Nintendo actually is trying to do something new. Plus, it actually has the standard dual analog, 4 face button, 4 shoulder button d-pad layout all the other controllers have, and HD Graphics, just like everyone has been whining about.
And while people may complain that "Ooooh, when the next XBox and PS4 come out, it'll be outdated!" Just look at the graphical difference between a high-end PC and 360. Yes, there's something there, but honestly, that's not going to be as crippling to support as the lack of HD was to the Wii. Plus, as the PS1 and PS2 have shown, it takes more than the strongest hardware to deliver great games.
As for the games, 3rd party developers need to show some restraint. Just because it has a touchscreen and motion controls doesn't mean they have to shoehorn in things using them for multi-platform release. They have the standard control set-up, so they should stay calm and use that. And maybe they can actually implement motion controls and the touchscreen in a way that benefits the games. Plus, unlike motion controls, I can see all sorts of good uses for a touchscreen on a controller.
Also, Pikmin 3 is a confirmed title for it, so that makes me very happy. And Nintendo makes great games that I'm interested in. There's also that.
