I'm a bit of a nerd who loves sports. My two favorite activities are bikeriding and gaming. I have a stationary bike that I ride while playing xbox. When I was in high school I played football and DnD.
I am also very nice, some might even call me sweet, but I have this odd need to every once in a while annoy people by teasing and messing with them. I get off on making my friends forget they like me for a second and scream "You ass!" and then I giggle my ass off.

I was an awkward nerdy chump in high school, and yet I did not become a rich succesful individual engaged to a supermodel later in life.

Those fucking high school movies lied to me.

A peoples person who hates people.

No, really, I hate people, jet everyone thinks of me as a peoples person. Even tho I hate them, I can't bring my self to tell them and so everything begins.

I'm a typical gamer who does not like spending a lot of time outside. I also know basic car maintenance, can do basic first aid, and can survive in the woods. I also had an anti guvment father who taught me how to live off the grid if the need arises.

I enjoy video games, but I am horrendously bad at most of them. (Grew up relying on Action Replays and Gamesharks. Hell, I can still tell you that 91152BD0 is the Gameshark code for invincibility in TLoZ: Oracle of Ages. Only in these past few months or so have I been trying to wean off of them.)

I'm also a pacifist who plays percussion, so I spend a fair amount of my day hitting things, when you boil it down.

Oh, and I'm naturally introverted and quiet, yet I can be very very talkative once engaged in conversation.

I am a loud, eccentric, bold person, yet I often come across as a reserved loner to new people. I'm also rather quick on my feet despite being a portly (fat) guy.

In all honesty, actual rugby and American football do have some differences from what I hear, mostly in rules. That might be the reason we call what you consider football soccor. Then again I don't know the specifics, so I could be wrong.

OT: I'm a nerd that can be very stupid sometimes. I'm smarter than your average Joe but not as smart as what most people would consider to be nerd material. I also don't like people, even though I'm generally really friendly toward them. That's about it for me.

Metalhead, very few notice this until I stand in one of my T-Shirts in front of them or until I actually say I listen to Metal, why I don't know.

People generally know me as a quiet, reserved person who refuses to speak unless prompted, so it comes as a big surprise to them when they find out that I'm basically fluent in seven languages.

I listen to metal yet I don't mindlessly hate rap.
I've never seen why people think that no one can be a fan of both genres. On a broad level, they share a few musical traits, like using typically melodic instruments for rhythmic purposes or leaning on sensationalism in their lyrics. There's a reason why the rap-rock genre exists. People see the similarities and feel that combining them is a natural fit. Rap and metal are definitely aimed at different audiences, but they're not really that different.

Back on topic, it kind of annoys me when people are shocked to find that other people aren't rigid stereotypes. If people pigeonhole themselves into a stereotypical set of interests, that's great if they enjoy those things, but they're limiting themselves and ignoring a lot of interests that they might love if given the chance. I like gaming and sports, and I see nothing strange about that because I'm competitive and both are a good outlet for that. I may be a better gamer than an athlete, but I enjoy both and participate in both as well as any other competitive outlet I can find. I like certain genres of music the best but not to the exclusion of all other genres, because music has many different methods of resonating with me or interesting me, and I like taking advantage of this variety. Do what you love instead of what people say you should love

There's two things that, from what I've gathered, are unexpected of those I first meet. First is that I'm painfully shy. When I'm introduced to people, I'm rather talkative and confident, so it kinda shocks people when we get into a crowd and I just kinda close down. For whatever reason, unfamiliar crowds bother the fuck out of me, and it surprises recent acquaintances because I'm not at all like that around strangers in limited amounts.

Second is that I don't play sports. This surprises people, despite the fact that I'm rather overweight. Presumably the reason is because I'm 6'8" tall and built like a brick shithouse, so they expect me to play basketball or football or whatever, but I don't really exercise at all, and it seems to surprise people.

That's pretty much it, I'm your fairly stereotypical nerd of giant stature otherwise.

When people meet me in my work clothes, they tend to assume I'm a fairly conservative person. They are normally quite shocked when they realise I am a huge nerd, a gamer, and a goth out of work.

I also try hard to be considerate and tolerant of people. Nothing shocks someone more than a goth covered in black clothing, chains and skulls opening the door for them or helping an old lady with her bags.

I don't know if I'd say anything about me was 'out of character', because I tend to be pretty upfront about who I am. People are usually pretty surprised to learn about me though.

Actually, THIS is the out of charcater characteristic for me. This site. Being a geek. Other than that, I'm an outdoor-type guy (going rock climbing/hiking/paddling) at least once a week, in a Marine Corps program, in a fraternity, social, etc. But everybody who knows me also knows I have an massive unapologetic geek side. I love video games, sci-fi, and fantasy

I'm rather eccentric and people who know me just a little better are expecting pretty much everything. I guess that the biggest WTF trait of my character would be the discovery of the depth of my sadness and the feeling of hopelesness of pretty much everything.

Well, it's a little like they say "the joker often cries inside" ;]
