The only thing I actually regret is/was completely out of my hands and it is/was probably for the best anyway.
From all the is/was s you can probably tell it's an ongoing thing.
The only reason I regret it was all the follow up crap.

I tend to regret things I didn't do, rather than things I did, because at least if you did something you'll know what the outcome was.

Most of the biggest regrets in my life, however, are being too nice. I'm always nice, understanding, all that bollocks, then I'll look back and think, "Why the fuck didn't I rip his fucking eyeballs out?" :D

I wish I'd been less of a misanthrope during my adolescence and had more practice being sociable instead. Now that I actually want to, I have a lot of difficulty meeting new people these days and it's frustrating how others do it so easily.

I've basically forgotten how to make friends. I'm too afraid to strike up conversations because I might embarrass myself by saying or doing the wrong thing despite having the nicest of intent. How pathetic is that?

There are things in my life that I probably could have and should have done different but I would hardly say that I regret anything. I have learned form it all, the good and the bad a like and if I had done things differently I would not know some of the lessons that I know now.....to view it any other way is to wallow in self doubt and pity, which is not very conductive to improving yourself

And perhaps another question to ass to the op's thread, if you could go back in time and relive that time in your life, would it change would it change your life today?
Oh so many of them, but what originally happened would be in my head as a thought of what could of happened rather than a memory or erased so I don't make that mistake again later on.
