Yes. Even in CoD with LMGs, I reload after every kill unless I'm fighting still even if I just shot 5 bullets. With LMGs though, I'd run to a relatively safe spot to reload though.

I always reload when the coast is clear. It generally gets me killed because I tend to keep moving and run into another dude who proceeds to shoot me.

Sure do.

Reload after every encounter, and you will live past the next.

..Most of the time.

Yes all the time I cant stop even if I dont kill them on MW2 and they go to last stand I see them go down and just reload it's killed me many times now.

Oh yes. I reload after every kill, which tends to get me killed.

I do, but i often don't see the 2nd or 3rd guy until i've already begun reloading, so i have suffered several deaths because of my habbit.
Oh yes. If I had a dollar for every time I reloaded my weapon only to have some other twat run around the corner and shoot me in the ass, I'd be playing on a XBOX 360 console made out of 24k gold.

Seriously, I've done math.

Everytime I get caught reloading and an enemy comes in sight, I regret not waiting till I'm in a safe spot. I try to reload when appropriate now rather than just as soon as I can. Died too many times with a mag in my hand.

Hey, I've been playing shooters for about ten years now, and I noticed I reload after almost every kill, which is a problem sometimes. So I was wondering, does anyone else do this?
If not, what habit do you have when gaming? From clicking the analog stick, to gunning the engine in racers.
When i first played cod i never reloaded. My friend who "tutored" me on how to be good at cod (which did work btw, i am pretty decent now) always yelled RELOAD MIDDLE OF SCREEN NOW! whenever i missed a reload with few bullets left which , when trying to concentrate, put me on edge a lot. Now i reload every time by sheer instinct, like after every kill.

I also suffer from obsessive reload syndrome, but i have learned to control it. Now i only reload when i am absolutely sure i'm clear of the last firefight. As for other habits i have developed, in rpg's i tend to hit the quicksave button much more often that necessary. Which is good most of the time but sometimes i quicksave at a time when im screwed no matter what i do and i'm forced to go back to my last real save if i want to keep going.

Yeah, I reload all the time.

Which was a problem when I went through my Urban Terror phase, as that game, when you reload, it takes away a clip rather than a number of rounds, meaning I would run out of ammo in record time.

It's the opposite for me, I leave it unreloaded, with like two bullets in the clip. I have a lot of "Take this you... ahhh crap" moments.

Wait, you didn't check to see the coast was clear?

You just.. Reloaded? Right there? RIGHT after the confrontation?

Silly...
:p

I normally duck into a vacant area to do it. Much less likely to catch a 9mm treat to the 10-spot.

Its best to reload and have a full clip for the next guy rather than a few bullets. I personally reload after pretty much every time I've fired a few rounds.

Ah, man, this is so me. I feel a compulsion to reload after every kill/encounter. It really pisses me off if I'm using a weapon that takes a while to reload, but I still just do it instinctively...

I reload whenever its quiet. Its a no brainer. If Im in the middle of a fight, I shoot until everything stops moving, if I run out-I switch guns (which as Call of Duty says, is always faster than reloading)

I don't reload after EVERY kill, but usually after a few, when I think a room is clear. I have my fair share of both "oh crap my clip is dry" and "okay safe to rel- oh crap another one" moments.

I do this a lot and its gotten me filled with holes on a large number of occasions. The saddest part is i find my self reaching for the reload button after a few bullets from an LMG or even worse games that don't even have a reload button.

Absolutely, and when I tried Dead Space Extraction on the Wii I got my ass stabbed several times because of that.

Indeed, always keep the clip fresh.

True true, unless it's Gears, then god help you if anyone notices you're locked into a weapon changing animation.
