Hey, I've been playing shooters for about ten years now, and I noticed I reload after almost every kill, which is a problem sometimes. So I was wondering, does anyone else do this?
If not, what habit do you have when gaming? From clicking the analog stick, to gunning the engine in racers.

Sure do.

Reload after every encounter, and you will live past the next.

..Most of the time.

I reload after every kill, just natural, in games like MGO you need all the ammo if you hope to survive a encounter

I do.

I tend to reload whenever I kill someone or when its safe. Shame because thats one of the reasons why I die too much.

I totally do thanks to Uncharted. Sometimes it sucks because in games like Borderlands certain weapons take forever to reload.

I do indeed reload after every kill, provided I'm not fighting several people at the same time.

It's not a problem unless you do it in the middle of a close-range fight. If your ammo runs low then just pull out the pistol and hope for the best ^^

I have Obsessive Compulsive Reload Disorder, but most experienced gamers develop it. OCRD saves lives.

I do, but i often don't see the 2nd or 3rd guy until i've already begun reloading, so i have suffered several deaths because of my habbit.

Yes. It's a tactical must.

... Unless you're playing Battlefield 2. Reloaded magazines aren't "swapped", they're actually lost.

Yeah, I'm starting to learn that you only reload once you've looked around and confirmed you are infact not about to be shot by someone.

I'm still struggling with reloading all the time, but I'm unlearning the habit.

I do the same thing. When I played Halo, I was constantly reloading, sometimes having disasterous effects. Nowadays, it's not that big of an issue, once you're aware of the problem, you can train yourself not to do it every time you kill someone, electing instead, to wait until you're clear of a firefight, and then reload.

Kinda.
Don't wanna have to reload mid-battle.
In BC2, with SMGs and assault rifles, I reload pretty much constantly, since it's fast.
But with LMGs, I don't reload if I have over 70-80 rounds left.
I like to reload while I'm sprinting from cover to cover, while being ready to switch over to my revolver if an enemy appears.

Yes. And I hate doing it. I think it is a lot cooler on games like Call of Juarez (where you will be continuously reloading anyway) to use the entire clip on every bad guy, and only then reload. In games where I fight aliens, I like to deliberately waste ammo, firing at an alien I've just killed to make sure it is dead (like in the movies).

yup, all the time, but hardly ever get killed in MW2 due to the wonderful break reload technique, saved my butt many times

When it comes to RPGs yes!!!! I always want to create the perfect playthrough (especially with Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and Fallout3) I find myself constantly reloading to save one person, make this choice, and oh crap I dont like that outcome.
