The game BLACK had a unique system where the rounds from your magazine weren't pooled into the rest of your ammo reservoir, and reloading after a single kill could cost an entire magazine.

Ever since BLACK, I've waited until about 1/5th of my magazine remains before reloading, or until the action has died down.

I usally reload after a kill and I (hopefully) remember to find cover because if I don't, his mates will gun me down since I forgot to kill them too.

Usually...

But if there are more enemies very close by, I'm just gonna wait until it's all quiet before I change my magazine.

I have a really itchy finger when it comes to reloading. I often find myself reloading in the middle of a gunfight. It causes a lot of problems in games where "R" has some other function.

I always felt the reload is sort of like a victory action. After a kill, reloading is showing out accomplishment.

I have a terrible case, I tend to even if I'm in the middle of being killed. It's my #1 cause of death in Modern Warfare II.

in a lot of the (more reality-based) shooters, on pc at least, you have an ammount of clips rather then bullets, and reloding will cost you the rest of the clip...in games like these i reload only when i'm pretty low. in cod-like arcade bullet-counting games i reload when it's absolutely save or when empty...usually after killing somebody i don't reload if it only took 4 or 5 or so bullets...has saved my live several times not to reload instantly...

yes I do this too, it's not a bad thing in video games. In real life it would be.

I have Obsessive Compulsive Reload Disorder, but most experienced gamers develop it. OCRD saves lives.
Quoted for truth.

I also suffer from this.

I have a case of OCRD too... after every kill/firefight, and sometimes obsessively at times running from place to place, even if it's full... its bad...

side note: gotta love the RPG people who misunderstood the question...

Yeah, I only find it reasonable. But it does become a problem when you kill one guy and you end up reloading in the other guy's face...

Hey, I've been playing shooters for about ten years now, and I noticed I reload after almost every kill, which is a problem sometimes. So I was wondering, does anyone else do this?
If not, what habit do you have when gaming? From clicking the analog stick, to gunning the engine in racers.
I've taken my Obsessive Compulsive Reload Disorder to the next level. Whenever I'm watching one of my friends playing a game and they run around with a half empty magazine I have to fight the urge to shout at them to reload. I think I need to see someone about it...

Annoyingly so. I must be obsessed. In Battlefield: Bad Company 2 I have an annoying tendency reload light machine-guns (which take about ten seconds to reload) after firing all of four bullets. And this, my friends, is why I'm rank two.
