You know what? It seems really strange me when people have a go at you for hugging your friends, be they guys or girls or whatever. It staggers me that in this day and age, people will still call you 'gay' or something similary derogatory just because you're a guy who will hug your friends who are also guys.

It doesn't worry me, I have three good friends overseas at the moment and when they come back I'll hug every single one. I'll hug my friends who are gay, it doesn't matter. It's a show of affection for someone whose meant a lot to you, and people who don't are actually missing out on quite a lot.

Anyway, that's my rant. Does anyone else here hug their friends? Or think it's right to?
The internet has judged you and found you: Normal.
No, the Escapist has judged him. If the Internet at large judged him, he'd likely be flamed as "teh gay" and such. This being said, the Internet is usually wrong about things like this. :)

I usually don't hug my guy friends, but very frequently hug girl friends (two of my best friends are girls and one is huggy by nature). That's not to say I've never hugged guys before.

Those female friends who I know for a while, guys-only a handshake. This largely depends on how much blood there is in my alcohol.

Alright, I'll behave.

On topic: I hug most of my female friends most of the times I see them. I tend to hug my male friends only when I haven't seen them for a long time or wont see them for a long time.

I hug everyone, even people I don't know very well :p
Though I don't hug my best mates so much any more, only cos I see them every day and there's no point.
Hugs off my bf are the best though :)

I basically hug anyone who is unlikely to kill me in doing so. And I know a few girls who are really huggy so it's sort of expected. And if they're guys, I may even attempt a glomp of some sort if they're not TOO much smaller than me. Unless they're that psycho dude or the guy who actually knows how to counter-glomp with a bear-hug that nearly crushed my lungs.

But yeah, hugz are fun. =D

I hug my friends who are girls.

I "will" hug my guy friends.. but it usually turns into one of those "bro hugs" (shake hands, hold hands in middle between each other, other hand around back for a "manly pat")

LOL!

People of both genders hug me a lot. I keep telling them I'll cut their throats but it only seems to make them more enthusiastic oh well.

Male friends? NO.

Female? Sure. Hugs, over-the-shoulder pat (they even ask me if I would do that...), kisses on Christmas/birthdays/special occasions. But that's a kiss on the chick... I mean, cheek.

I glomp my girlfriend (though it's only if she glomps me first). As for my friends, I hug 'em if I've never seen 'em in a very long while.

IT depends whether said friends prefers personal space or isn't bothered. I'll happily hug my friends, mostly 1 arm round the back and a manly pat hug with my male friends, but i hug most of my female friends.
