same with ransengans and getsugas, itchigos bankai without black gesuga is NOT useless, it's still bloody &^&*(N fast, as well as sharp. and if he had no hollow, it he wouldnt have to spend energy supressing it or have it feeding off his soul. So shaddup.

No, there's no difference between their large sources of energy, but that's not the point.
Ichigo's bankai without getsuga is bloody useless.
What does his bankai do, I ask you? Make him faster, yes?

I'll agree that that can be pretty gay, i guess the writer did this and was like "OH FUCK, ICHIGO CAN'T LOSE!" and immediatly just started shifting stuff around, but i maintain that his getsuga would still be there in bankai without his hollow, if not as strong.
but lets not forget, if getsuga is the hollows attack, what has zangetsu been hiding from us all this time?

PS. itchigos bankai deals more damage then the other, and allowed him to finally damage the head bount, plus i think it lets him fly or glide alot.

EDIT: plus, the other bankais seem to do some stuff you wouldn't guess at first, take senbonzakura kageoshi, it has a weird arena thing and a finisher turn into wings thing, whats to say tensa zangetsu doesn't have one.

It's one of those shows you really need to stick with before you like it. It take a lot of time for anything to happen in the series (sometimes 3 or 4 episodes). The fighting and main story are great but the side missions usually suck. It also suffers from dragging to hell and back. Do not watch with English dub, Jap only with Eng subs. Season 6 a waste of time. Skip and go to Shippuuden.

Death Note is still FAR better (& i liked the post L part as well), but my favorite anime will still always be CODE GEASS!.

This. But one can still enjoy Naruto nonetheless. Especially if you've got nothing better to do. Code Geass is also my favourite Anime but it was too short. I was left wanting more.

I like the original Naruto perhaps because the battles and the plots are really well-written. That's why I keep watching it until today. I have to admit I don't really like Shippuuden all that much until the episodes of late.

I like how they really expand on the fights from the manga and animate them pretty well (fight with Kakuzu and Hidan and current fight with Pain, even though some animations in that one are awful)

The main characters annoy me now though since they don't really have a reason for their motives anymore

how bad did pain look in the last ep where the wind pushed on his face while falling, i said to myself omfg wtf this is really shitty animation

Oh god yes, I was like where the hell did that crappy animation come from? Especially after they did such a good job with the Hidan + Kakuzu animation.

Also I think I saw someone with that bit with Pain as their avatar on here and it's freaking priceless

I did like the first two seasons of it, but not anymore. Things that go on for ages and ages should just stop at a certain point in time or it will get lame. That's just my opinion of course.

I don't really like Naruto because it's so long. In any series that long there has to be some filler (and I know second hand there's loads) so I'd rather watch/read a shorter series that can be consistantly good.

2 of them does not make it different, neither does a bigger one. ichigo just doesn't name all his versions of the same attack.

so they both have a normal attack :rasengan-getsuga
and soon they'll both have the uber attack which naruto already has.

No, Naruto still has his shadow clones. And summoning jutsu. And sage jutsu. And the collaboration jutsu. And elemental jutsu.
Ichigo has getsuga. And a useless bankai which allegely ups his speed but has shown no real speed increase after he first used it against Byakuya because everyone after that can keep up with him. Makes you wonder what his normal speed is like ._. He can't even do hados and bakudos for god's sake! Though, granted, nobody did teach him that.

Okay, I'll rephrase. The black getsuga belongs to the hollow. The blue one is the one he fires in shikai mode, which I haven't seen since..he fought Grimmjow. Anyone else realised Ichigo hasn't un-bankaied?
Tite Kubo's screwed up there. C'mon, his bankai specialises in speed, so why not keep it consistent!

Not really. Seeing how he generally sucked as a ninja really badly until he met Jiraya.
