I would only enjoy sharing a bed with a guy, seeing as i am a girl =P I have a 3/4 size bed back at home which is a decent size really. Not perfect but lets just say that it's cozy.

Oh, and the way to stop someone from snoring? TRAIN THEM NOT TO DO IT! wanna know how? Hold their nose everytime they start to do it. =D or get them on their sides and stop them from sleeping on their backs! cuddling is a great way to achieve this!

I dislike sharing my bed. Not that I have much experience in the matter, but I like my space. Sleeping is my space. My bed is my throne. I like to move around, see what feels most comfortable. Feel free to roll over, maybe sprawl myself across it eagle style if it feels comfortable. I can't do that as much with another person there.

Sharing a bed "with" someone can be tiresome at first.

Sharing a bed "to" someone is no-no. Because some people can't support a rule of conduct.

When I was younger, in my preteens and early teens I thought that sharing my bed with a romantic/sexual partner would be wonderful. Almost like having a living stuffed animal that loves you.

And then I started doing it and I realized just how much I can't stand sharing my bed. I hate not being able to turn over when I want to and to have to do it very carefully so as not to disturb whoever is in the bed. Then there is snoring, cover stealing, people taking the spread eagle position and forcing you to sleep in a chair or jab them in the chest. Speaking of which, ever smack your bedmate and pretend to be a sleep to stop them snoring? So does anyone actually like sharing their bed or is it just me and my selfish ways?
Get a bigger bed and seperate covers.. No biggie..
Bigger bed and a bigger cover.

I love sharing my bed. A small shake and a light voice saying 'you're snoring' is normally enough to stop it. They will likely drift back off to sleep immediately. Cover stealing and the rest, well, it's not that much different from losing pillows off the side of the bed in your sleep etc.

Wow, I never actualy considered that I might have a problem with sharing a bed. I assumed it would be all closeness and huggles and all that good stuff.
Well, I suppose I've done a fair amount of non-intimate bed sharing, and that really isn't all that bad. The ability to spoon with your partner would just make things easier, wouldn't it?

I'm not a good bed companion, mainly because the beds in university accomodation barely have enough room for me and my near contant tossing and turning. Spooning is nice but it's not worth my freedom!

If you're done insulting me; I have been with my SO for 6 years so don't tell me I'm demeaning or foolish or rushing in. The stuffed animal thing was because it would be like having company in your bed and someone to cuddle with only better because you have a relationship with them. Someone above said it better than that. I wonder if you'd have thought I was being so demeaning if you knew I was female? And when I was sparkly-eye I was 11 years old. And no, I'm a very pleasant person to sleep next to according to my SO, I don't snore, steal covers or kick. Calm down.
Actually, I was responding to your OP which was purely negative and in fact seemed to overtly imply that you did not like sharing your bed. Something about your own selfish desires I believe. So it's you that needs to calm down. I told you how I felt which apparently rubbed you the wrong way. I'm not pyshic, I don't know that you've been in a relationship for 6 years or that you actually liked to share your bed. If you want people to get the correct idea of what your views are then you have to state them. You made it sound like you had all these problems in the present - perhaps looking at how your wording things would change how people respond to you.

And yes, I still think it is very demeaning regardless of what sex you are to envision someone else as merely a stuffed animal there for your enjoyment. I am also a woman. What the hell does gender have to do with it?

It really depends on who I'm sharing my bed with. But generally, as long as that person doesn't hog my covers I don't mind.

I think it's quite nice to sleep next to another person. I don't mind the bed being small, i.e. 75 cm, as long as we have more than one duvet (I do not know what else to call it). Having only one duvet will always result in the other person stealing it, dropping it to the floor and me waking up on cold nights...

At home I have a nice, big full size bed which i wouldn't mind sharing if I had the chance... At school I have this tiny little twin bed that's uncomfortable to begin with, so I'd soon as sleep on the couch before sharing it... Could be worse though, I know someone who doesn't actually own a bed...poor girl

She could share mine if she lived closer...

It might make things a lot more difficult, actually... May from time to time lead to the largest person crushing the smaller person with aggressive snuggling. While being asleep, that is...

I love sharing my bed.

Yes, you too can come over, anytime! As long as you meet the requirements. Cough.

If your boy/girlfriend is giving you "trouble" with stealing bedsheets, lying in awkward positions or whatever.. why don't you just cuddle up? That will basically force her into a more relaxing position.. and if those bedsheets were still in her hands, they're no longer.

It's what I always do. Cuddle!

One of my dogs sleep in my bed. Every night, has done it since the very first day we bought her.

It's not quite a girlfriend, but at least it's warming my feet.
Mine does that, too. He seems to be magnetically attracted to my feet somehow, he finds them in the pitch black and plonks himself next to them.

Does yours ever wake you up? Lately mine has been doing it with annoying consistency...
They come towards the smell. Oooh ho ho, I couldn't resist. Sorry.

I mostly complain about me overheating in bed.
Another person in your bed can really heat it up, especially if (s)he's always moving closer to you.
I just can't sleep when I'm to hot. Cuddling is nice, but I can't fall asleep that way.

I loved sleeping with my cat at my feet when I was younger, but since I've grown a lot, I need all the foot space I can get.

I guess I shouldn't be complaining, because often the annoying one is me at night.
I sleepwalk sometimes and I talk in my sleep almost every night.
One night I woke my ex-girlfriend up shouting KITTENS! with a high voice...
