I listen to plenty of American, Canadian and Scottish music, but because that all has a pretty similar sound to music from England its not interesting to talk about.

As for stuff that actually sounds foreign:
Serge Gainsbourg, who is like Dylan to France. Except Dylan never wrote a song that got banned by the Pope, dated Briget Bardot or told Whitney Houston that he wanted to fuck her.
Krautrock: Can, Kraftwerk, Neu! and Faust one of the most influential movements in experimental rock
Amadou and Mariam or Fela Kuti haven't really investigated African music that much but I've heard some very good things about it, and these are the two I have heard most about, Fela Kuti being the most historically important and influential, Amadou and Mariam being the two garnering the most attention at the moment.

except for people in america(maybe) because they're a continent instead of a country.

I listen to Weird Al, Japanese opening and closing theme songs for anime, and I liked the British song at the end of Hot Fuzz. Ya... that's about it. I don't listen to much music in general, but most of it is Japanese and Canadian.

Lately, I've been getting into more foreign music. This week it's been Brasilian music like Os Mutantes, Caetano Veloso and Seu Jorge. Other than that, I've been looking into more Celtic music and Ravi Shankar.

Do you listen to foreign music? What do you like?
I'm Australian. I listen to foreign music all the time. A lot of it comes from this weird country called the USA, they seem to make a lot of music over there. But I listen to music from everywhere because it's kinda my job. I can't think of any country off the top of my head that I haven't heard some music from at some point.

2 words and one name, Gotan Project (Italian band), love it..and yes..i listen to foreign music. i am one of those that doesn't restrict themselves to only north American music. There is so much great cultural music out there, especially Europe.
