I have an autographed copy of Ray Bradbury's BRADBURY STORIES. I remember going to an event for it. Only about 200 or so people turned up. Bradbury's turning 90 years old soon.

Also something a bit more modern: A copy of the PC version of GTA: San Andreas before it got pulled off store shelves. It's the original, M-rated version with the hidden hot coffee.

I also got a Gameboy Micro. I cannot find those anymore. Just how uncommon were they? I'm the only one out of all my friends that have one, and only a handful of them even know that the Gameboy Micro existed.

I have an uncensored copy of Dark Sector on the Xbox 360.

And I live in Australia.

TIME PARADOX!

A full size replica Lancer, COG Tags, MW2 NVGs complete with the Soap plastic head, a Resident Evil 4 T-Shirt, an Edward Carnby figurine, Sonic the Werehog figurine (I didn't even know that came with the game until after I bought it :^P) That's about it. I'm saving some space on my desk for the replica Facehugger. To a lesser extent, I also have a copy of Dead Rising, but it's not as satisfying to have as the others because of its "CLASSICS" tag on the cover art. I'd also like to say that I have a working Super Nintendo plus games around the house somewhere, but if my memory serves me correctly, my parents threw it away.

Money!

No, I have a few old things, like arrow heads and what not, but nothing of particular value to most people.

A few games, Vagrant Story, which I'm not sure is actually rare but it cost me a good amount. I also (finally) have a copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga, damn it was annoying to find a copy.

I've got a personalized signed copy of Al Murry's Pub Landlord tour from when i went to see him live.

model-wise I've got a limited edition model of the Batmobile (Tumbler) from the latest movies, it's number 257 of 500

The only other rare item I can think of is one of the bookstore ceiling adverts for the illustrated Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (complete with Typo)

Edit:

I've also got a WW2 Bayonet with sheath stamped Waffenaerik Mauser A 3
followed by a serial number, but most of that is faded or has been polished out over the years, it belonged to our neighbor who passed it to us before she died.

Oh . . . and 3 of the original animation cells from Akira, one very small shot of the Clown Biker boss, one of one of the doctors and the final one of Akira himself.

I used to be a coin collector, so quite a few things, though I'll admit I don't have anything really valuable.

Also, I have some vintage comic books in a drawer of my bed, though again I don't think any of them would be exceptionally valuable.

I have a bible that I think was printed in the 1800s. It's massive, and has notes written in it by previous owners, including a man that I think worked at a church who wrote as bombs were falling around him in Europe, and another many years later written by a little girl that thought that writing a plea to god on one of the blank parts of the bible would get her prayer for an end to being abused by her father answered.

My mother gave it to me, she never told me how she came to own it. I also have a hand made blanket from China that predates WW2

Not having a go or anything...... but.... are you sure that stick is 2500 years old?? I mean that means it was made in 430 BC! Thats 40 years after the battle of Thermopylae, 107 years before the death of Alexander the Great and 330 years before the birth of Caesar!

It looks to be in way to good of condition to be that old. Maybe 250 years, and even still it would be looking well.

Please remember I'm not saying your full of shit or anything, just maybe have your wires crossed a little.

Nope, my grand-uncle reluctantly cut a notch off it in his later years and sent it to be carbon dated, it's in the vicinity of 2,300 to 2,550 years old. It's been passed down for generations, carried with the tribe. It's not their most precious thing though, that's the chiefs staff, which I believe is even older.
That really is amazing! If it is that old your should really entrust it to the National Museum in Dublin; they will ensure that it is not lost or stolen or whatever. I really urge you to do this. As far as I know you can make it that you are still the owner.....

It must have been repainted, or refurbished at some time, no?
Clearly the good people of New Guinea knew how to make their sticks. I mean DAMN!
Also, Furburt definitely won the thread.

As for rare things.......I have a katana!!!!.....not a very old or special katana.........its...really...not special at all.

BUT I LOVE IT!

In the time of the Star Wars prequels, a great many franchised board games were developed and released. Among all the Star Warsopolies and Clone Wars Risks, two gems shone:
- Star Wars: The Queen's Gambit
- Star Wars: Epic Duels

Passed over by many when they could be had at Wal-Mart for $20 - since the assumption is that board games based on movies are crap - these went largely unnoticed and eventually faded from store shelves. Now they are hailed as sleeper hits, unappreciated treasures.

Three years ago I acquired Queen's Gambit for roughly $80. Two years ago I landed Epic Duels for about the same price. Today they're each worth roughly twice that.

Well, this isn't really a gaming or movie thing, but I own a tribal stick passed down through the healers of this tribe in Papua New Guinea. It was given to my grand-uncle who was a missionary, when he saved the tribal chief from Malaria, which the healers couldn't cure him of. They figured that he was better then they ever could be, so he deserved the stick. He gave it to me when he died.

It's about 2500 years old. I keep it in my room.

Now, this might sound like spiritual crap, but there definitely is a certain aura off it. Maybe it's just me.
Now that, my friend, is an interesting heirloom.

On topic for me, I own a signed copy of Andy McNab's Bravo Two Zero.
