So I snagged a cheap copy of Mass Effect today on sale on Steam, because I've got ME2 PC that came with DA2 and I figured I'd enjoy replaying the games on PC when I got to thinking, I've got a lot of double games.

I've got Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and Mass Effect 2, Batman:AA, and a few others on the PC and the 360. I've got more then a few "cheap" games from XBLA and Steam, Defence Grid for example. And I've got like 4 copies of Star Craft that I some how managed to accumulate over the years, bargain bins are great when you lose discs in moves.

I've also repurchased games digitally that I've lost or had damaged, for example X-Com, I had and original copy of that somewhere, no clue where it is, but I've now got a copy on Steam.

I blame the insidious steam sales that make me want to snatch up games just because they are cheap, and plus I've got a decent computer for the first time in ages, and health reasons have forced me to start gaming more on the PC then the 360 (my eyes are going, easier to see action the PC then the TV)

So how many games do you have multiple copies of?

I don't own multiple copies of any games. Quite possibly because I only play games on Xbox 360, so there would be no need for copies for another system. Add to that the fact that games can be pretty expensive, and I have more than enough reason for only owning one copy of each game

Mainly collector's editions as well as normal editions for MMOs and various RPGs, just because of the various shinies they keep suckering me with.

I'm not going to count, but multiple. I have the entire Baldur's Gate saga, as well as Icewind Dale and Planescape: Torment in two language versions. I have Mass Effect 2 for both PC and PS3. I have several oldies which I bought when they originally came out and then got free copies with gaming magazines (this way I got 3 copies of Theocracy, which wasn't a fun game to begin with). I have extra copies of some old games which I own but which were repurposed to run on modern systems (Simon the Sorcerer 2, for example).

I even have some old games which I downloaded as abandonware and which were later re-released commercially. Like Betrayal at Krondor.

I do actually own a xbox copy and a pc (physical) copy of the first Splinter Cell. Mainly because the xbox version had extra levels.

I also got a limited edition of Dreamfall after getting a regular copy (but I traded the regular copy away afterwards). I do also own the xbox copy electronically now. And on Steam: Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, BG&E, and Knights of the Old Republic, even though I had them all on xbox to begin with. And the HD version of BG&E on XBLA. And most valve games on steam, even though I have the Orange Box on xbox. curses.

I've got SplinterCell Chaos Theory on both the Gamecube and PC, and am planning to get the Ps3 version. But that's about it.

Not many, but some.

Psyhchonauts. Both on Steam and GoG.
Beyond Good and Evil. Retail and Steam.
Come may 10th I will own The Witcher on both Steam and GoG.

This is not something I often do, but some games are good enough to warrant mutiple purchases. Especially if I got/get them cheap. The ones I listed are such games.

For various reasons I ended up with more than one copy of some games.

King's Quest V and VI. I bought the games and then one of these collection so own two exact copies of each.

Something similar happened with GIants, citizen kabuto (two copies)

I also own three copies of Daytona USA: PC, Saturn and Dreamcast. It could be argued is not the same game though.

Ocarina of time, own on the N64 and Gamecube (soon will also own on the 3DS)
Majora's mask, own on the N64 and on the Wii.

Sega Rally, have the PS3 and PSP versions. Admittedly, paid $8 and $15 for them. Believe it or not, I'm considering also getting the 360 version because I own the 360 steering wheel and therefore tend to buy racing games on the 360 (no wheel for the PS3, only bought Sega Rally PS3 because it was $8). I can get the 360 version for $15 these days

A few but not really on purpose, I ave World of Goo twice from the humble indie bundle and a competition I won. I also have ICO twice because when I bought it there happened to be two discs in the case.

I have two copies of Half life 1
because my original version stopped working then decided to start working again years later

I also have two Force Unleashed's
because for some reason PS2 versions differ in gameplay to Xbox 360 versions
so seeing as how they were both pre-owned its hardly a dent in my wallet to test them both out

Got two copies of Assassins Creed II. One for my 360 and one for my PS3.
It was cheap as hell and came with all DLC, so I figured I might as well re-buy it. Loved the game anyways.
