Well, since I suppose it's much easier to not yet be banned when you've only posted 12 times than someone who's posted 12,000 even if you behaved the same way as the person with more did. So when there's a poster with a few dozen or less posts, it does make
some sense to assume they may not behave as well as a poster who had been here longer...

It's like someone's appearance, it's certainly not a sure fire way of telling what kind of person/poster they are, but it's still used as something to base assumptions off of.
So basically, a poster with less than a hundred posts in this comparison is like someone who has messy hair, a loose T-shirt and pants that hang below his waist. Not the best way to judge a person, but it's done anyways.
