I play Tuba, but we own various keyboards and a piano, a Didgeridoo, Marumba, violin, guitar, accordian and theremin which I dabble(Very light dabbling) in all of them.

a cheap bass guitar scuzzed out and patched through a Russian Big Muff pedal. sounds like there's a guitar going off in your chest cavity, muffled by your organs

Have a shot at Hysteria by Muse... Can be tricky keeping up with the fingerwork but it's one of the most satisfying songs to play when you nail it :D

Baah I've never been able to get that song right... The only thing that throws me now is getting my left hand to move that quick.. Im not very good at learning songs like that though.. For all the songs I've learnt at uni I've just looked at the chord chart and made it up... Thats a skill reading tabs wont help you with!!

I've been soloing over backing tracks for a week now.. Thats good fun

A bassoon actually :) but haven't played it anymore for a couple of years.

and a funny and completely irrelevant side fact: In dutch (which I speak) the name for bassoon sounds much like fagot. (Even written like that).
So there was a directore of a music school showing a couple of english people around, and proudly stating 'and this is our fagot room'. Actually happened.

Been playing the guitar for two years now, most rewarding and ejoyable thing i have ever done. I had only wished i had started earlier but when i was younger rubbish school music lessoned coupled with god awful 90s mainstream pop bands practically destoryed my interest in music.

Played music since I was 5 and started learning Piano, I can still play some basic stuff but I stopped practicing regularly when I was around 8 or 9 when I got into singing. I also picked up guitar along the way (and now posess 2 amazing guitars, a gretsch electromonix and a fender telecaster deluxe) as well as bass (got a good looking Peavey 5-string) and since rock band came out and I've learnt the basics of co-ordination I can play drums to a reasonable standard as well. Play lots of early 00's alternative as well as some classic rock from the 60s onwards including almost the entire discography of the Beatles.

Awesome fun to play - "Around the World" by RHCP and damn near anything by Incubus are also fun bass songs. Oh also "My generation" by the Who - got blisters everywhere on my fingers learning it from the song but damn when you nail it its awesome.
