Do you purposely avoid REALLY big forum posts?

I don't post in a gigantic thread, because I feel that I might make a repetitive post, or that no-one will see the post anyway. When it's a giant poll, I feel a weird civic duty to answer the poll so my vote is heard.

Unless I have something terribly original to say, I usually avoid enormous threads. And even then, it's a stretch because I'm afraid my totally awesome point will be lost in a sea of droning agreement with the original response.

I do the same thing. It just feels like you get pushed aside by other people who will be pushed aside. Honestly, I think it'd be utterly hilarious if this thread became one of those 20+ page threads.

I always go to a thread that has lower post first but I don't avoid threads with large posts. I usually go to the larger ones because it's something that I like to talk about.

After page 2 it's a flame fest about something COMPLETELY UNRELATED to the original topic. And 400 quotes about the exact same thing with the exact same answer.

I'll typically read the first page of a thread, but any reading beyond that only occurs if I am geniunely interested in the topic or what others are saying about it.
