Do you Spit on the street?

Yep. Smoking generates a lot of mucus that you constantly want to get rid of. I consider spitting on the street my privelige for all the shit I constantly have to suffer and listen to because I smoke.

I know I shouldn't, but I do as well. To be fair, though, it's usually the guys with their trousers around their knees who are also wearing a baseball cap sideways and fur lined jackets. Having lived in the ghetto, I recognize the locals, so it's not like the spitting is the main reason I silently judge them. *sigh* I try to be a fair person, but it's not easy...

God it's disgusting. It's not that hard to control yourself. I don't mind spitting, but do it somewhere else. In a trash can or something. Anywhere but the sidewalk or grass.

Fun fact its technically illegal in Britian to spit in the street. It was banned to try and stop the spread of TB i believe, so if your in Britain a cop could legally arrest and fine you for spitting.

Gotta agree with this guy, as a smoker myself. Even though it's a disgusting habit I would rather spit that mucus out then swallow it back in.

Considering the amount of paperwork involved in policing these days, i doubt any officer would actually bother XD

Because I don't even see the reason why you would spit saliva, it's basically water dude and has no taste. Why would you even spit it out in the first place?

If I'm really sick with lots of gross phlegm or snot and no tissues, I'll go out of the line of site of people and do it behind a tree or something. This might happen once or twice as year.

It's pretty gross and selfish to do it right on the street in front of people.

It is actually one of the most disgusting things for me. I work in some horrid areas in London (uk) and guys will just spit right there in front of you...*shudder* ergh, yea because that's REALLY attractive...

This, I live in London as well and some areas it seems to be the norm, maybe its a cultural thing but that doesnt make it any less disgusting.

I can forgive if you have a cold or you;ve just finished a run or something. But just spitting on the street at a bus stop? If I could make their head expolde a la Scanners then I so would
