Now a-days as i start to drive more (just turned 16) so i don't get to read them on the drive home. Really the only time i actually had to read an instruction booklet was when i played rayman 3, since the ingame tutorial literally said "press the jump button to jump. Heh, go figure". Also now i mostly only play RTS's and FPS's in which the controls are all basicly the same (when you got something good, don't screw with it - fps controls on XBOX AND PC I'm looking at you)

I read them when there's something in the tutorial that I didn't pay attention to or when I'm stuck to see if there's an ability that I forgot I have. But I always keep the instruction manual because I love having it.

Of course, I probably should be paying attention to that road, seeing as I'm driving and all.....

No. Never. Most games I'll already know how to play, and for the games I don't there's a tutorial. The only time I read them is when I'm in the store and there's a big Pokedex thing and I want to see when my Pokemon evolve or when it's like Diablo II where the pack comes with the big Strategy Guide.

Arch it up between the dashboad and the windscreen. It'll be fine. You dont need to see that side of the road anyway :p

No. Back in the PS1 days the manuals had background stories and weapon stats etc.

Now you get here are the buttons... ring our helpline if your crap at it.

That I do. Mainly because I like reading, but having some forewarning about the game controls, the story, and what to expect while playing is always appreciated.

If I'm bored I may glance at 'em, but otherwise no.
I'm not even sure why they even print instruction booklets anymore since in-game tutorials pretty much render them redundant.

I Read 'em Either On The Ride Home, Or For Backstory, Character Descriptions, And To See What Awesome Firearms I'm Gonna Be Using.

I usually don't read them unless I am really bored or if there is one random thing I need to know how to do that the game didn't explain very well. Even if I don't read it, I have to have it with the game. I hate buying games that don't have the manual, even if I don't plan on reading it. OCD i guess?

Bit of both. I usually pop a game in the first time, and while it's installing itself I read the instructions. Once the game's loaded I usually never read the instructions again.

To quote an awesome comedian:

"I'm a techno-lover. I look at the instructions, unwrap them slowly and... throw the instructions out the window."
