VGOCD: Let's save!
Me: Okay, there! Saved!
VGOCD: And again, in another slot!
Me: Er, okay? There ya go!
VGOCD: Eh, three's a good number - save again in a third slot.
Me: Alright, but that's it! There, ya happy?
VGOCD: Well...
Me: What now?
VGOCD: Can you save over the first one again? I want that to be the last one we saved in.
Me: *sigh*

I got this in Naughty Bear.

"Kill everything!"

"But it's time challenge!"

"Fuck it! Just kill 'em all!"

I know what you mean. I really feel the urge to get every frickin' little thing in some games. I can't wait for the huge fully-interactive environment where I can grab everything and then I'll start getting picky.

I usually leave bad spelling and grammar slide, but you barely contributed, so you could at least type out full words.

I don't mean to sound like an asshole, but it just makes this a nicer place if everything is nice and readable.

EDIT: Disregard this, you fixed it up yourself, good man. :D

I'm a hoarder in games, and it makes it very difficult sometimes. I struggle leaving a hub if I have any less than 20 revival items, and shitloads more potions. Anything like items that cause damage, status effects or removals, are under no circumstance to be used, unless in a battle that I can win no other way.

And if there is any intersection in a game, I have to travel left before right, unless there is a clear indication to do otherwise.

Indeed, I apologize for the sudden burst of awful spelling and grammar, I know not what came over me.

Yeah I get a bit of that. If enemy drops it or its loot from something then I need to pick it up, mostly at first when I don?t know what is worth something or not. Torchlight was the worst. I would stop at regular intervals to sort out my inventory and sent my dog to town to sell all the crap. And what are you to do otherwise, let it crowd the floor? I also like exploring the entire map, but it?s usually a first play through deal where I try to do as much as possible. I rarely 100% but I do as much as a can manage or find. I could go through guides and stuff to get it all but then it turns tedious as opposed to an exploration thing.

I wouldn?t say it went so far as to call it OCD but more of a, why wouldn?t you want to go search that unexplored area or open the chest of mystery?

I think I?m the worst with saving in certain games. Give me an auto save feature or I can save whenever I like in a menu and I will end up doing it rather too often. It?s partly because of a sense of paranoia and my disdain for redoing things over and over.

Get him out of my head!

I also get the urge to save everyone that I do not dislike. Say, I accidentally blow a certain innocent citizen to death, right? No penalties, and that certain citizen was useless anyway. I still reload a save file from an hour ago just to prevent him from dying. I make save games every two minutes now.

I get that in Left 4 Dead 2 as well. Say, if there are zombies that are crouching in a corner, ignoring us. I get the urge to go over there and hack him/her to pieces. It's easily resistible though. Probably because there are practically time limits in L4D2. And there way too many zombies scattered everywhere that doesn't give a fudge about you.

Kill a bunch of enemies.

"Pick up all their grenades"

"But im maxed out on grenades"

"Ok ok, throw some grenades into the distance, enjoy the explosion, pick up some more and throw them at the rest of the grenades so that any excess grenades that you dont need blow up"

I got it too, although I don't consider it a hindrance since I like making sure I got everything.

I tend to quick save a tad (understatement) too much though.

I check everything in Fallout 3 for loot, even while I'm still in combat...

That's why I have like 1200 MF cells and 1100 5.56 rounds...

I wouldn't call it VGOCD (I'm not gonna advocate some made-up disease, or pseudo-science), but I feel I have to reload quite often.

I also can't drive a car in GTA if it's crashed or scratched. I just can't.
To be fair I did mention OCD, which is a legit disorder.

Even if you're running from the law?
You mean CDO, where the letters are in alphabetical order, as they should be

OT: I have a friend whose like that, especially with the reloading. I usually pay him no mind and try to, you know, have fun...

EDIT: Woah, wrong quote there. Well, I guess it kinda fits, meh

I do have that mini-map issue.

Also, I have CRS (constant reload system) where, even if I've only shot a single round, it nags at my mind that the clips not completely full.

I have slight VGOCD. I am a compulsive reloader, which is a pain in games where reloading wastes a whole clip.

Also, in RPG games, I never start roaming unless my inventory is perfectly set up and organized. That means selling everything I don't want, choosing my load-out, etc. In Fallout 3, this process can easily take 10 minutes, and I have to do it ever hour or so of play.

Oh yea. I still haven't gotten past the first area of STALKER SoC because I need to pick up everything, and it takes 10 times longer to crawl back to the store and sell it all.
