Yahtzee makes a lot of valid points on gaming but I take his reviews with a grain of salt. Not everyone is going to agree with yahtzee on wether or not a game is bad. For example, yahtzee unconditionally hates Jrpgs(with a few exceptions) and fighting games but those genres have a lot of fans. They aren't fanboys of those genres for liking them . Those aren't fanboy games for being praised by their audience. After all, all popular games have a lot of fanboys, even silent hill and tim schafer games.

I find yahtzee's views on gaming very convincing but Idon't always fully agree on his opinions on quality of games. I didn't portal was the greatest game of all time and I fucking love smash brothers. I also think that people should turning his comment thread into flame wars.

Of course. They're more comedy than anything else, not really meant to be taken seriously

Always. He has points, some of them are valid, but he has too much negativity. He's not quite as funny as I remember him being.

I bought The Conduit before and after his review. No regrets. I loved the Smash Bros Brawl review because it was hilarious and I'm a huge fan of Brawl. His Wii reviews are just bad. So..no I don't listen to him.

A grain of salt?

I take a whole bathtub of acid.

Yahtzee's view on video games is not one I want to share.

He's an entertainer. He's not viewed for his "accurate and unbiased opinion"... quite the opposite.

Simple, if you agree with him you do, if you don't you don't. Worshipping and Flaming someone like him is about as useful as posting a comment in a forum on the internet...

... meta.

I take them with a grain of salt, but sometimes he's right on the money with some of his reviews like Resident Evil 5.

at the end of the day your allwasy going to have a disacreement with a reviewist

for example i quite liked Wet and Darkest of days

but in his reveiws yahtzee said he dosant

and while he does make some true points about them that pissed me off during gameplay

(like only being able to use one gun unless your in midair)

i think that you need to keep your own oppinion, dont be afraid to try new games and dont let your oppinion be changed by somone else

although yahtzee is the bomb

Absolutely. Even though he's often right, sometimes he pans games that, while maybe not "masterpieces", are an assload of fun. Latest example: Bayonetta.

Any game where you find yourself doing a double take and saying to the empty air "Did that ***** just hit me in the face with a fuckin' building?" and then giggling like an idiot is a FUN game.

I've always regarded Yahtzee's reviews as the Ill Will Press of game reviews .

I don't take much of what he says seriously.
There have been times where i do agree with him but, most of the time i don't, he is mainly entertainment.

Sometimes he makes a valid point, not to say that the majority of the time that same point is exaggerated for the sake of comedy. It's almost like the Daily Show with Jon Stewart, there's truth in it but stand back because it's supposed to be funny.

i really only watch the ones for games ive already played and i often find that for the most part what he says is true, regardless of whether i liked the game or not
