Do you talk to the games you are playing as if you were in them?

I am playing Fallout 3 at the moment and I keep talking to the game as if I was talking to the characters in the game itself. Must be pretty immersive which is good for a game isn't it?

I don't usually do that but for a game like this I feel no shame in doing so.

Does anyone else do the same? Or are the certain conditions that must be satisfied before you'll talk?
Yes, but i do it for pretty much every game, i must get immersed into things pretty easily... in some games I immitate characters.

Final fantasy X: (immitating Tidus) wow.. so even though you're this bad Kimahri, all the other ronso are worse!?

Ape Escape: haha, i've got you now silly Monkey, prepare to be... what the! WHERE WERE YOU HIDING THAT MACHINE GUN! GAAAARRRGHHH!!!

Harvest moon: lalalalaaa, feed the cow, stroke the cow, milk the cow... wow.. this games really boring (5 hours later) milk the cow... why the hell am i still playing this game!?!

Metal Gear Solid: (Game character) Sir, i've located the intruder and need back up
(me) NO YOU DON'T! YOU'LL BE FINE BY YOURSELF, PLEASE STOP!!! RAIDEN, HIT HIM YOU PANSY! what the hell does Rose see in you anyway? why go out with a guy who's prettier and wears more make up then you?

the list could go on, but i don't think there is a need to, as half the time i'm only doing it to amuse myself so that i won't get angry when i start losing... obviously you guys wouldn't be entertained by it.
and yes, i am that bad at Metal Gear Solid before i get a silencer for my pistol/tranquilizer.
Pretty much this. Except I don't play MGS. Never really pressed my stealth buttons, just like with Yahtzee. Or...was it that Splinter Cell didn't? I don't remember. But, yeah, still applies.

Yes, I talk to the game, swearing, and general angriness, but that's usually in multiplayer. In singleplayer, I actually talk to the game, and it's characters, as well as my own character. Like-a so: Guard: "WHY. WON'T. YOU. DIE!?" Me: "'Cause I have cheats. :3" Guard: *power attack* Me: *dies* Me (In real life): "....Damn.". Oi, I never said I wasn't strange, mates. Actually, I don't even necessarily need to be talking to the game to talk. Sometimes I just...talk. Like-a so: "Doot doo do...Steal these Septims...Hey, a diamond. Yoink." And so on, and so forth. Actually, I think that might be the farthest reach of immersion, me talking as if I am the character. So far, though, only Bethesda RPGs and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. have gotten me that far. The rest do get me to respond to the other characters, in action, and in speech. like-a so: Cap'n Price: "There's some enemies over there, behind that car!" Me (As Roach): "Roger that! I'll flank their right side, Ghost, cover me!" And so on, and so forth. I think that's enough words for now.

I do that in Red Dead, for example the big hero speech I give before executing a tied up criminal on top of a mountain. Hee.

I don't really talk to the characters. I don't talk to the players online either, more like yelling.

The classic 'Oh COME on.' is a favourite of mine. Also 'Okay, that is NOT fair!' is a good one.

I think it's funny afterwards, but when it happens it must be annoying to anyone within earshot.

Yes...I do this alot...When playing any game really...I'll question the physics..."Because that's possible in real life...ofcourse..." or "Ok...so that makes no sense what the fuck?!"

When I get really into a game...like fallout...I'll talk to it..lots.."Jericho shoot that twat?!" "Fawkes...piss off I cant get through the door!"

My family think's I'm crazy...

No, since they are video game characters who cannot hear me I see no reason to do so.

no, i'm silent as the grave while i play.

it was weird for me playing games with my girlfriend, because she is super chatty at her game. i've gotten use to it though, and now it's pretty cute.

No.

I can control myself.
Difference between can and will/want to.

Yes, if the game's immersive enough. Not out loud, so more thinking than talking to myself, but still, yeah, I create conversations, surroundings, passerby comments, quests etc. in my head.

I wasn't a huge fan of GTA4, but I talked so much to that game that I sometimes ended up with a sore throat. I talked (or better said, yelled) at everything. Cops, traffic, characters, even the buildings. It was weird.

Well, I do that in Oblivion... And in Battlefield: Bad Company...

What? I just love talking as if I were a marine on the field, saying things like "Riflemen, 70 meters, north-east / 3 o' clock." and "Solid copy on all. We are Oscar Mike, out."

... Makes me feel as if I was a marine...

Okay, that's geeky, I admit full-heartily. But damn it, it's fun!

I shout at the games when they have ridiculous levels that are too difficult.

I also talk to my victims in stealth games, particluarly Hitman: Blood Money. I tend to assign them names, like 'darling' or 'pumpkin'. It is just so fun to sneak up on someone and throw a knife into the back of their head and say 'good night, sweetie-pie' (not in real life, obviously. Whew...)
