No, most boys suck too though so that doesn't actually mean anything.

Most people who play games don't devote nearly enough time to get good thus most girls probably suck as much as most boys do.

From the few girls I know who like gaming, none of them are particularly good - but I only know like 4 of them, so I'm not sure if it is typical or not.

I doubt there's a correlation. Men tend to be better than women at sports (certain sports, at least) because of biological differences. I don't know of any differences that would involve the connection between brain and thumb.

That being said, the majority of "good gamers" are certainly male, since more guys play video games.

Anyone can be a good Gamer. Sex has nothing to do with it. That said, I've only ever met one girl in person who I would call a Gamer. Don't know about online, since no one says what they are on the PS3, and my 360 I don't play that much. The rest are simply girls (or boys) who play games.

I don't care. If your are good, you have a place on my team.
Skill can not be predetermined by gender, especially in gaming..

If it was say weightlifting you would be at a natural disadvantage.
But in games? Hardly.
True.
But have you ever seen any female body builders? Highly, highly unattractive and a tad scary if you ask me. Why a woman would ever want to take that career is beyond me.
Little off subject but I thought I'd throw my two pence in.
Depends on the weight class though. In the lower weight classes some of them are actually pretty feminine. Even some in the medium weight classes at least have a feminine face.

But do you consider girls good gamers?
I do. Gender has nothing to do with it, its the skill you put it. To say you dont is like saying a man cant cook/clean because he has a Y chromosome.

Do you think they are as good as boys?
Again, depends on the skill they want to put forth. Casually, most likely. Hardcore... well, I'd say there's a lot less who are on that level, since most Girls are sorta just getting into heavy competitive gaming en mass. But if you want a solid answer, yes.

Do you mind facing a girl online?
No. I actually welcome it. I find it refreshing really, but thats just me. They seem to not get so into the "Oh, I just fucked you mom last night, just like I'm fucking you in this game" kinda talk that boys like to get into. I find the feminine touch and civility rather enjoyable.

I've met girls I beat, met girls I cant beat. Its less number then men, but thats just cause I dont think girls play as many games online competitively AND reveal themselves.

Usually in FPS's girls seem to be fairly bad but in MMORPG's or RPG's in general they seem to be good.

There are good female gamers and bad female gamers. Same with the gaming penis owners.

Your reproductive parts have negligible effect on your gaming ability. (Unless you're one of those stupid sluts who uses intimate pictures to get what she wants. They make me want to hide the fact that I'm female.)

My sister used to always kick my ass at Smash brothers, Frankly, if you play enough regardless of our gender, you'll be good

I would say that girl gamers are just as good/bad as their male counterpart. There's many good and bad players on both sides. I've met girls who kick my ass repeatedly in almost any game, and I've met girls who can't defeat the first Goomba in Super Mario Bros 3 to save her own life. Gender doesn't matter in gaming, anyone and everyone has potential.

Fact is that games are re-enforced as a guy hobby. A guy is more likely to be better then a girl simply because of the number who play more seriously. But a girl who plays seriously is just as likely to be just as good as a guy who plays seriously.

yes,
I know from experience, since... well... I date one.
but in all honesty there is no skill-differential between genders.

I've met a lot of girl gamers in my time, and most of them were pretty damn good at games. But they're good because they played a lot of them, just like how Men become good at games.
Gender is irrelevant. I don't understand why I need to explain this so many times. Prejudice will never go away if the girls themselves are bringing attention to the fact that they are different. Just because you have something different inside your pants doesn't mean you need to bring it up all the bloody time. I feel the same way about different ethnicities, racism will never go away if we keep referring to them by their colour or whatnot.

I can say this much: My sister is several orders of magnitude better then I am when it comes to games like nethack and dungeon crawl...
