Music for me seems to be getting worse in my opinion. I'm a rock/metal fan and watching music channels at college and having to see dance, pop and hip-hop seemingly take over is annoying.

And there will always be way more untalented musicians than there will be talented ones.
I think music is getting neither better nor worse, classics will always be made.
And I think nostalgia will always play a big part when you grow older, thinking back to the food 'ol days.
In the end it is a matter of personal taste.
Dont turn to popular media then, search the web, go to a local show. If your into rock and Metal there is plenty of good music out their. MTV and Much just doesn't have it.StigmataDiaboli said:Music for me seems to be getting worse in my opinion. Also I'd like to add that I think computers have made music better by opening up new sounds that would never have been possible before and giving us dance music, hooray for computers!
EDIT: After all of 7 seconds worth of careful consideration I've realised that music is better than ever, there's so much diversity and almost all the music in the world is at your fingertips, anyone who says modern music sucks is probably doesn't even know what the internet is.
Well actually the Internet is the only music player I use now so I am getting some rock/metal music...but even then a good amount of bands consider singing to be shouting.VitalSigns said:Dont turn to popular media then, search the web, go to a local show. your talking to a guy who listens to Deathcore and Hardcore so I'm all for screaming vocals.StigmataDiaboli said:Well actually the Internet is the only music player I use now so I am getting some rock/metal music...but even then a good amount of bands consider singing to be shouting.VitalSigns said:Dont turn to popular media then, search the web, go to a local show. I don't know too much about Opeth - I've heard a few tracks but none I could name. In Flames, however are one of my favourite Metal bands (I don't listen to much). They were the first Metal band I saw, they were supporting Motorhead on their (Motorhead's) 30[sup]th[/sup] anniversary tour - it was supremely good.Captain Pancake said:Well, they're popular in the UK, in certain circlespiers789 said:How about No Fun At All or Millencolin?
