I second this. Not for any real reason other than the act that Link looks creepily like the Link from that one fanmade Zelda movie.

OT: No, I don't think it would work; it's already a great game series, so why screw it up by taking out the interactivity and subsequently alienating millions of fans, who would be the only real potential viewers of the movie, but will not do so, simply to prove a point, no matter the quality of the film.
...I think that made sense, but am much too lazy to go back and check, so if anyone wants to do my job for me, feel free to get back to me with a coherency verdict.

Oh dear god no. Sci-fi channel movies are terrible. That would ruin Zelda forever.

EDIT: I would love to see a Zelda movie, but it would have to be done exactly perfect to not suck and not destroy the videogame series. Which is why it's lucky that Nintendo refuses to sell the movie rights for the game, as I read an article here last week that said a lot of filmmakers were trying to buy said rights. (Nintendo also said they would only sell it if they thought the right people came along, which will probably be never)
