You can't whistle?

I always assumed the only person who couldn't whistle was Ellie from The Last of Us and that's because it was the post-apocalypse. I wonder how common that actually is...

Anywho, I am constantly whistling and making noises. I listen to music at work and so most of the time, when I get up to go do something, I just continue the song I was listening to myself.
Many people can't whistle, actually, my mom is one of them. Actually, she can't whistle, wink, or snap her fingers. BUT, she isn't ticklish. So she gets her kicks from tormenting people who are ticklish (namely me and the rest of the family).

To answer the OP: I can whistle...sort of. I can whistle one note. I can't really modulate it up and down to make a tune, so about the only time I whistle is when I'm desperate to get someone's attention and I know them well enough that I'm sure they won't be offended for being whistled at.

Fuck yeah I whistle! I whistle while I listen to my tunes on my PSP... It always makes the people around me look at me like I'm either crazy and/or high as fuck...

Everyday's but a good day whenever I whistle... Then again, it gets better if I dance-walk alongside whistling, so there's that...

I can make a whistling noise but I can't really manage a tune so I try not to do it often, although I occasionally do and don't even realise.

I can whistle but I've only ever used it to get someone's attention or to call my dogs. So I'm very poor when it comes to actually trying to whistle a tune.

I wish I could wistle. It always sounds quite cheerful (unless someone has food in their mouth when they try it)

I can whistle, in like the novice sort of way.

But man do I ever wish I can whistle like the dudes you see in cartoons where it can be heard for like 4 miles or some shit.

Maybe I have the wrong lips for it :(

Yes, rarely.

If I didn't completely suck at whistling (can't carry a tune of any kind), I'd probably do it more.

I randomly start whistling all the time. Sometimes I'm not really thinking about it and I just randomly start if nothing else is going on to keep me occupied.

Not only do I whistle, but I often whistle while I work. Furthermore, it is almost always without being consciously aware of it, and the tune I probably whistle the most without realizing it is "under the sea" from the Little Mermaid.

What's more, I can whistle equally well blowing out or while sucking air in. So I can pretty well whistle without stopping if I want to.

The captcha is ordering me to post [whistle and flute]

Yes I can whistle I don't do it much I rather like to listen then to make sound. And if I make sounds I rather make clacks.

Whistling is fun though, making sound is fun, and why not?

I can whistle, but I rarely do it. Maybe if I'm bored waiting for something, or listening to music - but usually in that case I'd just sing along.

I'm really envious of people who can whistle really loudly with their fingers in their mouth - I so wish I could do that.

I don't tend to whistle tunes. I sing instead.

I can do a loud, sharp whistle without use of fingers.

Usually the only time I whistle is to get someone's attention. I'm pretty good at getting someone's attention by whistling.

I am one of those people who can't snap his fingers or whistle. So I won't be a member of an improvised band anytime soon.
