I watched it again a noticed something.....
When River was at Amys house she used the words 'why do i let you out' talking about the Doctor. This may mean that River lets the doctor out of the pandorica at some point. subtle hints? coincedence? my own paranoia?

That would make sense if this was the River from Flesh and Stone as she would have known about the Pandorica. But this version of River doesn't know what will happen with the Pandorica

More likely that he's her husband
Or son???
and that she's just complaining about all the trouble he gets into. Ask any married couple if they say that about each other ;)

Such a good episode! He obviously won't die, there's 2 more doctors!
I wonder if Rory will 'come back to life' or continue being Amys memory?
I thought it was sloppy writing at first, that "he just turned into a Roman" then when it was explained I thought it was clever.
Can't wait till next week!

As my friend said:

"Wow, let Moffat run the show for an entire series and he destroys the universe. I think the power went to his head."

But noooooo I don't want the TARDIS to die, I love it. I thought we'd have heard the cloister bell as it started to explode though.... I mean, it's supposed to ring when the TARDIS and passengers are in danger. :/

AND WHO THE FUCK IS MYSTERY VOICE MAN
It's pretty obvious the TARDIS will come back :p
I mean, it wouldn't be Doctor Who without the TARDIS, and there's a Christmas Special confirmed.
Also, yes, there was a strange absence of the cloister bell.
I mean, it rang in October when 10 died in January, yet it doesn't ring when the TARDIS is on the brink of explosion?
And the mystery voice man is Rose, trying to find another fucking way to come back into the show >.>
I know it won't be gone by the end of next week, but to see it explode will make me sadface. :(

Dunno why not many people have noticed the Cloister Bell's absence, I mean, it's the TARDIS's "We're in really deep shit" alarm. :p

And I like the Rose bashing, but she's in parallel earth with A human version of David Tennant's Doctor, so I doubt she's bothered about Matt Smith. :p

We already know how river dies though, remember? Although, wibbly-wobbly, I spose.Unless you mean Amy regens into river, which also wouldn't work, because I think, could be wrong, that time lords are never children.
You see a scene from the Master's childhood in The Sound of Drums so they do in fact start off as kids. Not sure how the ageing thing works though.
Ahhh, Iremember now. Well, that's something for the canonicity people to sort out.

Best doctor who episode ever without a doubt. The mystery of the box was brilliantly constructed, with quite the twist at the end.

edit: I had nerd chills from the second they discoved stonehenge was transmitting and all the different races started talking.

First off: What is with this season's theme being "robots learning their own humanity" crap? Rory serves nothing being there much less a Rory robot with his memories which by the way are not Amy's which are what is fueling the Rory robot's memories.

Second: This was just a predictable episode from start to finish. That isn't to say predictable is bad but it was in this case.

Third: The characters I hate return. River just ruins the story since we know she survives and by proxy the Doctor. Rory is just a bad character in my opinion. I was ecstatic when he was shot and killed. Not to mention the plot holes that will be created when this is all over.

Kinda heartwarming to see all those bad guys come together to try and save the universe even if they did kinda screw it up completely.

How long did it take everyone else to figure out what the box was for?
For me it was when that roman soldier said that it was ready.
Last week when the Doctor said something like "Soldier drenched in the blood of 1000 galaxies"

Eh, it was very predictable. As soon as he said it contained the most fearsome warrior soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies I was expecting him to be in it. True I was expecting a future version of him but still it was no big surprise.
Also it bugs me how this riversong chick fucks with a cliff and all of a sudden he has to go check it out. The series is now very poorly done and if not for the fact that this is a slow time of year I would not bother with this drek any longer.
Man I hope I never get your powers of perception. It would make stuff so boring. I think they did quite a good job of hiding the fact he was to be imprisioned. First they said it was a goblin, then they said it's been destroying galaxies, then they insinuated that he was the one that imprisioned the thing in the first place. Why would you expect him to be in it?

Also, I just had a thought maybe he could be both the wizard and the trickster, perhaps he ends up starting this alliance to imprision himself in the future or something. Anyway I can't wait till next week.

While I sort of agree that the series is poorly handled I think it goes down to two things: River song and Skynet type machines. River Song just ruins everything. We know she survives so the cliff hanger at the end does nothing.

No. Simply no. Rory can't be alive. I don't care if it is in machine form or not. His memory should be erased from Amy's mind completely since he never existed. So he can't be running around in machine form if they pulled this trap from Amy's head. Another thing, he shouldn't be struggling to fight his commands because he is a fucking machine. There is no "oh but I think I am human" crap they fed us in the 3rd episode because he was programmed to do something once he heard a certain sound. He really can't go Skynet on everyone like this bullshit they are feeding us. Rory is a terrible character anyway. He should just stay dead.

Unless Amy Pond is
River Song's regeneration?

How's that for a curve ball?
Let's not forget: Amy Pond and River Song are human!

Didn't she say "goodbye my lover" though, as the Tardis blew up?
that'd be pretty weird if she was his mother.

Well it's been the best episode so far this series...let's see if the finale doesn't screw it up. Shame about Rory. That wife beating bastard.
